AN Irish judge ruled today that a pregnant 17-year-old girl can travel to Britain for an abortion. The girl, identified only as 'Miss D' in court, is four months pregnant with a severely disabled foetus which cannot survive after birth. The teenager is in the care of the Republic’s Health Service Executive, which prevented her making the journey because abortion is still illegal in Ireland - except where the mother’s life is in danger. But the High Court in Dublin today ruled there was no statutory or constitutional grounds for stopping her from travelling to the UK for the operation. High Court Justice Liam McKechnie heard arguments over the past week from the girl, her carers and lawyers appointed by Attorney General Rory Brady to represent the right to life of the foetus. He ruled the teen can travel to England for an abortion, igniting debate in predominantly Catholic Ireland over whether abortion ought to be legalized.

Bobby Moncur wants Big Sam to chin the players

He's completely stopped responding to suggestions that he's Vic now too. Blatantly is. Aye, always answering a question with another question. -
Do you think Oliver's phone is actually plugged in to the socket or does it mysteriously pick up these messages from the ether ?

Bitter perhaps? In the same way that everyone slagged Jenas off for being shit when he left yet only a few thought this when he was here. Not bitter at all. I can't understand what Chelsea have seen in him to offer him 50k. Ludicrous. He's done nothing to warrant a 25k p/week contract (one offered by Reading), and as Craig said, he may give a great performance every once in awhile, but he's downright poor more often than not. I hope he does go to Chelsea, he wouldn't get a game but at least the tit will have deluded himself into believing he's good enough to warrant a place in the squad. The twat was talking about his England career at one point ffs. And quite a few thought Jenas was shit when he was playing. Quite a few Spuds fans still think he's shit.

Where's the twist in fate there? You could argue in the Castillo fight Corrales came back from the brink, it would take a comeback on the scale of Lazarus to better that now. Jesus wept *hoping at least someone gets that reference* Jesus, Lazarus, thats a good one !! OK, you didn't get it then Did anyone ? It seems not "Jesus wept" comes from the story of Lazarus' death. I think we debated it to death last year I never had you down as a bible basher. bishop basher maybe..... Who says I am? I just like pub quizzes You wank during pub quizzes? at least I leave that kind of activity to family get-togethers

I agree and I'd rather we looked around first instead of jumping head first into the most obvious choice but that's never going to happen here at Newcastle so I see little point in complaining about it myself. But some of the comments flying around that are questioning the value of appointing SA seem a tad shallow to me and ignorant, i.e. because they just don't like the man, or worse, because he's not Arsene Wenger. He's no Ottmar He's no Glenn Roeder. He's no Sam Allardyce. Not on his passport anyway and that is relevant because ?
