  1. The result wont change you know! Fancy yourself as a boxing judge do you? Me, I used to be a contender! Its clearly a close fight, if I don't score it I won't be able to honestly say who I though won !
  2. I'm gutted too, although the result is just as I predicted, Mayweather is complete tosser, but sadly a fantastic boxer, I've always been a big DLH fan but the thing that will blight his entry in the record books is that he lost nearly all of his big fights: Hopkins Mayweather Mosely x 2 Trinidad I could only listen to it on the radio, who had Mayweather as a clear winner, whilst the bbc round by round update had it a draw, I SKY+ it and am now going to watch and score it myself.
  3. aahhh, the good old Diablo....
  4. I'm glad we are are staying positive for the old boy.
  5. CM97-98 Neil Lennon was SO good if you bought him you were cheating.
  6. Sir Bobby Robson has vowed to "battle as I've always done" after revealing that the cancer he has fought on and off for 15 years has returned again. The former England football manager, who is 74, started chemotherapy treatment last week. But, typically, he was at St James' Park yesterday to watch Newcastle United play Blackburn Rovers. Sir Bobby has undergone cancer surgery four times but now doctors have recommended a six-week bout of chemotherapy after discovering small cancerous nodules in his lungs. However, Football on Sunday columnist Sir Bobby said he will carry on with his life as normal and plans to attend his annual charity golf day in Portugal. He will celebrate his 52nd wedding anniversary next month with his wife Elsie - whom he has called "my rock, because she's let me do my thing" - sons Paul, Mark and Andrew and four grandchildren. Sir Bobby said: "Of course, it's not the greatest news I've ever had but I have fought hard throughout my life and I will continue to fight. I will battle as I've always done. "My last operation in August was a success but this time the doctors have said they can't operate. "The good news is that they are measuring the nodules in my lungs in millimetres rather than centimetres! "That is encouraging and we are hopeful the treatment will keep it under control. "I've been advised to keep busy and active, and that's what I will be trying to do whenever possible." Sir Bobby, the son of a Durham miner, was knighted in 2001 and some of his sayings have passed into folklore, most memorably when he called Paul Gascoigne "as daft as a brush". He has enjoyed one of the most extraordinary careers in football, winning 20 England caps as a player - including playing in the 1958 and 1962 World Cups - and taking the team to the 1990 World Cup semi-finals during his eight years as the national manager. In February, asked why he is still passionately involved with the game, he said: "My wife wants me to go to Tesco's on Saturdays, but I just couldn't. I need the drug."
  7. Nope seemed to happen all on its own accord.
  8. So Roeder did a good job by not signing a shite centre back, only loaning him? credit where its due to our Glenn though Glenn gets no credit, it's all his fault What credit does he deserve and who's fault is ?
  9. Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder on being booed off the pitch: "Of course I know why they boo, they are frustrated, but they must understand that I'm equally frustrated. "I don't like talking about luck but we haven't had much and I hope I am given the opportunity in an injury-free season next time to carry on. "Today was hugely disappointing. We just can't buy a goal at the moment."
  10. Its so frustrating seeing us getting well beaten by Blackburn of all teams, we were the catalyst for there rise, we nick Souness off them and they appoint Hughes and haven't looked back since.
  11. Jason Roberts, been injured most of the season.......
  12. I don't want us to lose, but if we do, for fuck sake let it cost Roeder his job.
  13. According to SKY the crowd sound very restless lots of moaning and groaning, Blackburn sound well on top.
  14. Really? in some ways, good. How very predictable though. Not seen it myself, but that was the quote on SSN.
  15. 0-1 Benni McCarthy, following a Bramble howler.
  16. OK, I've done it, I've deleted both higher and lower filters but its no different, I've also tried uninstalling both drives in device manager, when I rebooted Vista tried to install both devices but couldn't. ** Just done a system restore and they are back and functioning, would be nice to know why it happend though.
  17. How about this little Gem: GLENN ROEDER could not care less about anyone trying to nick his job at Newcastle. When the Toon boss recalls the brain tumour which left him fighting for his life four years ago, no battle is too great. Roeder came out fighting last night after Sam Allardyce was targeted to replace him following a season of discontent on Tyneside. The heat is on to produce a winning end to the season, starting today against Blackburn, with Allardyce waiting in the wings and the Toon Army growing restless. Newcastle have failed to score at St James’ Park since February 10 and are set to end a season of mediocrity in mid-table. But Roeder said: “Do you not think we’re despondent? I think it was Alan Ball coined the phrase ‘I pick the players up but who picks the manager up?’. “Four years ago, when I was on the canvas, I could’ve curled up and died but I got up and fought on. “The one thing I learned from West Ham was it wasn’t personal, it goes with being the holder of the job. “I’ve had praise and a few slaps up here so it really doesn’t bother me. I thought what Roy Keane said about football not being the most important thing in his life was right.” Free agent Allardyce is the man wanted to replace Roeder but the current boss added: “This club, for whatever reason, is a soft easy target for speculation — whether it be players or managers. “It was Bobby Robson, Graeme Souness and now me. “The good thing with my personality is that I’ve slept very well, it’s gone right over my head, I’ve only focused on winning this last home game. “That’s my nature, my personality. There are other issues in my life that don’t compare with speculation about my job. “I’ve had several meetings with the chairman recently and there’s more planned. All we’ve discussed is what we’re looking to do next year — that’s all topics, not just players. “We’ve had Owen and Ameobi out and, conservatively, there’s 35 goals between them in a full season. “Anybody, I don’t care who it is — be it a manager in work or a manager out of work — would have struggled with Michael Owen and Shola Ameobi out. You can’t get away from that fact. “It’s not been a great season but no one’s trying to make out it is. “I’ve never brushed things under the carpet, I won’t try to deceive, con or cheat people. “We’ve not done anywhere near as well as we could have done but there are strong reasons for that.” England striker Owen will make his first appearance at St James’ Park since December 2005 but the row over drafting him into the national side continues to rumble on. The hitman has been pencilled in for the England B international against Albania on May 25 at Burnley. But Roeder rapped: “Does Michael Owen need to play for England B before he puts on the England shirt again? I would say no. “That would not be my decision but I would be surprised and I would not want him to play an England B game. “I do not think it is necessary for him to have to play in the B game, personally. Training sessions will be more than enough.” OK Glenn, where's the evidence of that ?
  18. I would, but thats not saying much to be fair.
