Tetchy when you're not right aren't you. It's not a case of wanting to be right. I was (imo anyway) discussing something interesting. I was on about how religious architecture is impressive in a way nothing else (in building terms) seems to be able to touch on. That's a personal view, to do with the scale, atmosphere and so on. You said there were ancient buildings that have now been destroyed which were just as impressive. I asked about them. You avoided specifcs and insinuated that I said Islam had completely invented its own style of archictecture. When I explained I thought the opposite was true., you again referred to these (un-named) buildings. I asked for specifics again (out of genuine interest) so you went on about Greeks designing Islamic buildings anyway. I honestly don't know what you're getting at. Do you even know what you're on about? He's just being a tit as usual. Imo religious buildings tend to be the most spectacular in design and scale. I've actually not seen that much islamic architecture because I've never been to Turkey/Northen Africa/ Middle East but you can see from photographs it's pretty awe-inspiring. As for christian churches - Durham, York, Westminster, Wells, Rennes, Notredam, Sacre coeur, the Vatican, the Duomo in Milan etc - all amazing buildings. I guess though more recently capitalism has been the inspiration for some incredible buildings too, like the Empire State Building for instance. Agree with all of that. I guess the cost of building anything stupendous these days is likely to be down to the mega-rich companies as the church was able to afford the grand cathedrals in medieval times. Can I just add Ely and St Albans cathedrals to the list, which I both found impressive and awe inspiring.

There's a pic of you and Wacky with your new child. Though there's another hundred lads reckon they could well be the father. Some BNP wifey says she would rather live in Blackburn or Bradford than Durham. Some kid's Lost, or summat. Religious buffs seem to be on the wane, and one fella gets on his knees on a regular basis for his lass (or maybe it's the other way round?).

What sort of a club would employ a manager with a history of heart problems who hadn't worked in the premier league in years? We would -
I'm Spartacus! Roll up, roll up. Who's next in line. Or, as Kid Creole and the Coconuts once sang: Oh Annie, I'm not your daddy.

Mennonites do that when they are 18....you either choose to believe or not, if it's the latter then you get ostricised by the church....and I'm not sure which branch (there are the dancing and non-dancing mennonites) that is for though Oooh, I quite fancy the idea of being a dancing mennonite. (whatever the fuck a 'mennonite' is.)

I quite like hip hop (when I hear it, which aint very often, N***A). Does that make me a 'homie' ???

I would appreciate it if you could tell Johnny to stop talking about my personal details. He only knows these "personal details" because you posted them on internet forums you fucking bellend. Doesn't give him the right to spread it around, does it? It is like saying I kissed Gejon's dad (No it isn't true) and then Dr Kenneth Noisewater posting on another forum that I kissed your dad in a completely irrelevant situation. W.T.F ?????!!!!!111 Where on earth did that come from ???

The mackems seemed to target Jonas in the derby. My reading of that, rightly or wrongly, was that they realised he was our main threat. imo he is a good player who struggles with his final ball, especially crossing. However, his industry and desire are something that really impresses me, along with his ability to attack the opposition. The overriding thing for me, is that we have far more other players to worry about in the team before we get anywhere near looking to replace Jonas.

I'm glad I am away, because if Dennis Fucking Wise took the manager's job at the club I love I doubt very much I would go to the matches, win, lose or draw. I stated the other day that I wouldn't hesitate at accepting Roy Keane as manager - yes, that's how low I like Dennis Wise. Anyway, I doubt Wise would take the job as he knows he's got a real cushy number and if he took the manager's job at NUFC and we did get relegated he would carry the can and get the sack. The last thing Dennis Wise wants is to jeapordise his little boy's seat on the gravy train.

Then leave them in waterproof bags, carefully semi-hidden in local parks for school kids to find. Those were the days! Why? Before they took your HGV licence away for being pissed up and murdering prostitutes?? As Jezza Clarkson would say.

Does your lass get on her knees n'all? Or should that be ?

"Ashley appears to have splashed the cash without even checking there was an engine under the bonnet' More like he's bought a bus without an engine; he's got rid of the competent driver we had and replaced him with a driver who has health problems and isn't qualified; has employed a smarmy conductor; and expects the passengers to push the fucking bus, without telling them where we're going or passing on any thanks.

I have no religion. Never baptised or christened. I'm guess I'm agnostic/aethiest. I don't understand why there has to be all these rules to follow religions e.g. hats; clothes; don't work certain days; can/can't be absolved of sins; must eat this meat, mustn't eat that meat, and countless others. I've just started reading a book on Buddhism to see what that's all about. Maybe I will become all enlightened? In my heart I feel I'm a fairly good chap who does 'the right thing'. I let others live their religious lives the way they want, without feeling any need to condemn them or slate them. I only wish religious zealots would appreciate that their religion is the best, therefore they don't need to condemn other religions, as they should be safe in the knowledge that 'I'm all right Jack'.

That Engurland top looks like something designed and knocked up by a sixth form design student. Utter gash.

I would have Roy Keane as manager, no probs. However, we will always return to the FACT! that NUFC is being run on a shoestring and Dennis Wise is puppet master; no manager worth his salt would want to go for that setup.

Durham cathedral for one. Parts of the architecture there are indeed middle eastern. The status of the BNP and NF (if it still exists) will be interesting over the next year or so. Xenophobic tendancies may well escalate as people lose their jobs due to the recession.

I wondered why on earth I was bothering to read this thread until your gem of a comment, Stiva. In full agreement with your thoughts, I'd just like to add that I have heard we will be challenging for 'everything' in the next five years.

What a sorry state we're in. We are 'worried' that the loss of Joe fucking Kinnear will have a detrimental effect on the team, and we've fallen so low we are nominating Hoddle or Venables as a replacement. Jeeez, how did it come to this?

Re the 8m transfer budget: This could just be a case of forewarning clubs we are wanting to buy players from, not to ask too great a price in the assumption NUFC have a load of money to spend. Or, it could well be a clever statement which just about equals KK's pay-off if he wins his case. Who would be looking the bad guy if KK wins his case and no player of any note is bought?? "Well, we were going to spend 8m - as I told you in Feb - but we have had to pay-off Kevin Keegan."

Spurs going down. Abramovitch leaving Chelsea. These are the things that dreams are made of. As Human League once sang. Spurs wont go down. Unfortunately.
