I recall the film (M. Caine), but can't recall Kipling
-
The horror of it all. Such a shame
-
It was canny good. The bloke playing R. Kipling played a good part imo. Rudyard Kipling was a classic example of being pro-war (for all the glory etc) only to change completely once his son was killed. He obviously forgot the horrors of it all.

To be fair I have heard those stairlifts take a while... Remember when Brian Potter's leccy went off, leaving him stranded on the stairlift overnight?
-
I recall answering the door approx 30 seconds after the bell had rung - the van was speeding off as I opened the door. The postie had left the usual note saying he had called. The time he put on the card was five fuckin' minutes after the time I had opened the door!!! Tosser.

With your history of 'stories', it's fairly obvious your internals are confused, along with vocal chords, and don't know which orfice to be using
-
The horror of it all mustn't be forgotten.

.....and so to bed. Make wehay whilst the sun is shining. Lock this thread.

Hoolies! But then again, they might have been playing sunlun at the time!

I'm old. Give me a fuckin' chance, man I'll see what I can do today - but I wont guarantee it.

I get the impression that we're not allowed to 'dis' Wilfred Owen's poems, as they were written during the horrors of WW1. The same way that we're not allowed to slag off auntie Betty's water colours as 'she's old'.
-
Surely Fop's comment was that people (exactly who is debatable) had forgotten the true horrors of WW1, regardless of their 'participation' in Rememberance day ?? Rememberance Day is about remembering all servicemen, and women, who have died in conflict - not just in WW1, so Fop's comment could be accepted as being correct - in his opinion ?

I'm ok about the team but worried about the fact they've only bought 51% when the whole idea was to own the club outright. Can see us paying them dividends of 35 quid each season regardless of how much money is actually coming in. I smell a vote rigging scandle, Ebbsfleet was the most voted for club? Good point actually. And that spelling? Teacher you say? You say (or is it just to throw you off the track ) Scandleus Plays CF for Panithanaikos

I listened to The Legends after the derby game and even the mackem who replaced Gates stated that he is far from convinced by Gordon - not just for the goal that Milner scored, but for his (Gordon's) performances this season.

...did anything constructive come from the Farepack business last year? I think you were involved in it ? Did you get any sort of decent recompense for your losses? Just wonderin' like, as we draw ever nearer to 'that time' again.
