That's just sad. This sport is just getting more and more expensive for the ordinary fan. Can't see it happening at NUFC. Season ticket sales would just plummet if they tried it here.
-
Underneath??? in the shed ??? In the bog, with Goldie lying on the floor in a heap outside ???
-
Apologies if this has already been brought up, but have you seen what is happening at Man U? Apparently all season ticket holders get automatically billed for all cup games whether they want the tickets, or not Crikey!!
-
Probably your best ever post Don't overdo it!!
-
Phew! Thanks for putting my mind at ease on that Anal! I thought everyone connected with the club was holed up in a London opium den Jeezaz

Fuck me! I've just suffered a form of 'welder's flash' ! They should just make our new new away shirt (new) out of the Northumberland flag. (do I need a wink smilie, or will people actually realise I'm joking?) Just to be on the safe side

Bring it on. any full backs among that lot? I believe Beye plays left or right back. Yeah, but his name begins with a B, so we had better be careful!!
-
..especially Geordies; better than Americans and any other race? Discuss
-
No. Sima knows what I meant but he's fishing for a 'discussion'. If I did reply it would be 'mission accomplished' by him and he would just sit back and enjoy the show, having 'lit the blue touch paper'.

We can but hope! EDIT: and if only we could snatch Micah Richards off them as well. Tell them that if we get Richards, we will pay Barton his wedge - deal
-
You say potayto, I say potahto You say Snakehips, I say Shinton I'm not sure if I approve of you posting on here. After all, you're an 'outsider' !!
-
I much prefer an old one compared to an old one. Traditionalist, y'see
-
Uh-huh Okay, Sima, if that is what you think I meant, then I'm not going to argue *yawn*.

I think you will find that it was Gilchrist miked up not Gillespie. But i remember that 20/20 that was when Gilly smashed a few sixes and whilst doing it the commentators were asking him to name his spot etc I liked it but only for muck around games and not for the real deal. Speaking of cricket a nice effort from the West Indies last night and nice grab by Monty. You're right, it was Gilchrist (I wasn't thinking straight - no change there then!). Watching him sending two consecutive sixes into the stands and then the commentator told him 'we want another one'. Gilespie duly despatched the next ball way into the crowd - fucking marvellous Well done. You spotted the deliberate mistake! Is there anything more annoying than someone who continues to make a mistake when they've just been shown the correct way??

Oh, and it was Bobbie S who suggested 'Geordie Stand' I notice all the feckers attacking me of being Geordie-mad and, no doubt, went to check the accusations of me suggesting 'Geordie Stand' didn't have the decency to come back and grovel and scrape in apology. By way of apology, just send a generous donation to Save the Snake. All donations welcome, no matter how large! ithangyu

The above post is the truth. If you choose not to believe it, that's your decision. I'm glad Ashley is British as I guess it shows he does have some knowledge of NUFC and the purchase isn't just a play thing with a 'franchise' or whatever these USA owners call it. But what is his ultimate motive?? To make money? If so, then why should we expect him to spend big bucks ?? He doesn't have to be a Geordie to have a 'feeling' for NUFC but to have some sort of attachment might mean he will gamble from time to time with signings rather than play safe ? I am overjoyed he is virtually in control/ownership of the club, but I cannot be the only one who has some sort of doubt as to his ultimate intentions ?? Shirley ???

I fuckin' hope I didn't want the Leazes re-named the Geordie Stand, or summat No doubt half of the folk who have just left this thread are now trawling through history to find evidence of my parochailism!!! I have no problem whatsoever with any 'outsider' owning the club. I just wonder what his motivation really is, that's all. No doubt some folk are probably believing the guff I post about 'south of the river' stuff as well !! *heads off to the tattoo studio to get a GEORDIES ROOL trade mark*

To say I'm shocked would be a vast understatement Firstly, Stevie, I can assure you without any reservations that my post was more tongue in cheek than my display of alarm and I am not 'trying to cover my tracks' !!! Secondly, ScottishMag - I CANNOT BELIEVE ANYONE CAN HAVE BELIEVED FOR ONE SECOND ALL THAT CRAP ABOUT NATION OF GEORDIE WAS REAL !!!!!!!!!!1111111 Every one of my posts about N.O.G. was tongue in cheek rubbish - FACT! My reason for the post was just a pathetic attempt at wondering what Ashley's real motives are. A pathetic attempt maybe, but nothing more than that
-
I have to say that my post was a little tongue in cheek Not all, though. To have someone with an affinity with the club would just have been the icing on the cake, is all I am saying. I can't be the only one who has a reservations as to what the motivation is for Mr Ashley, I say Ashley ?? For all of you who are 100% behind him, please enlighten me as to his true motives.

The sums involved are irrelevant imo. If something is in a contract then it should be adhered to - unless it is a mutual decision to waive it. Why let Citeh off paying something they owe a player??
-
Isn't it about time that someone checked out this guy's lineage to find some Geordie blood in his genes? I am glad that he appears to shun the limelight (which tends to suggest this venture isn't a glory trip for him) and I'm glad that he's British. But to find a little Geordie blood in him will just make things that little bit easier for me. Still, whatever his background, he must be better than the Hall's and Shepherd show we've had to endure the past few years.

The Sir John Hall is at the Leazes end. I can't be too sure what the Gallowgate is called these days; Brown Ale Stand? Exhibition Stand?
