http://www.francefootball.fr/FF/mag/flip/index_flip.html they also say the henry deal to barca is done... I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave some moments ago....

If a beggar had a good prop they could probably sell it to the RAF (or the air force of their respective nations, because, let's face it, not all beggars are British) and make quite a bit of money.

Talksport have been telling all that that site has said Terry Henry has agreed, in principle, to go to Barca; only for Henri's advisor to issue a statement saying it's boolsheet! When it's on Jimbo's telly, I'll believe it.

Very poignant considering it's 50 years ago today that he threw himself under a train... Okay then. To cover both parties we can call it The Flying Scotsman Stand in recognition of both trains and the fact that H.G was Scottish.

Different situation though. Barton hasnt yet had a go at the Chairmans son, Manager, Captain, Assistant manager, Terry Mac (whatever he does) or the fans yet. Probably does put Bellamy in the 'upstart' category. Terry Mac was also a far better player than Bellamy will ever be. Think he was saying he was a bit of an arsehole. Fair comment really. Barton has simply attacked two teammates, a scouse kid and said that he thinks the club (Citeh) needs a good kick up the arse. I'll ignore the stuff away from the club that both seems to be quite aept at. Saw Barton on Soccer AM and he came across really well. He certainly has better taste in music than Bellamy, so on that basis I'll give Barton the benefit of the doubt until he does anything at our club. Correct.

Sunderland major break through in transer market...
snakehips replied to Matty's topic in Newcastle Forum
Spot on. These derbies could well be the most venomous - by both teams and fans alike - for a while. Now that we, and probably the low life as well, think that sunlun are a serious threat to us, the atmosphere could well be more than experienced for quite some time. Add some abuse to Mr Kleane (caus I hate you and your wife. And if I get the chance I'll FUCK up your life!) and things could well be most entertaining What a fucking mentalist you are. How true! When I mis-spelt Keane, I was reminded of The Jam song so decided to put it in Mine's a pint of meths, please -

And i bet he'd been saying that for months now, long before they signed him... how the fuck did you know that???? What was said after the match He`s a cracking player 22 years old and i think ya`l find we are very happy to have signed the lad! I'm psychic Sounds like he could be a decent signing, though sometimes players hailed as being good in various positions never really settle into being a top player in any of them, but not a bad first signing by the sounds of it. only time will tell, but he looks a decent prospect so next Thursday then eh!!, cant wait for the fixtures, good to see the derbys back on the menu eh! Can't wait tbh. They're a love/hate experience, but not to be missed. Wonder if R.Keane can get himself sent off again this time? Difficult, but not impossible. We can only hope -
Thinking about it, I think the original post makes a good point. After all, Sir John Hall (good rhyme) didn't do that much for NUFC to warrant such a memorial to him - premature or not. Re-name it, I say e.g. The Hughie Gallagher Stand or The Snakehips Stand ?

Hang yourself. Sorry. If I did that I wouldn't be able to keep these great, well-thought-out, posts coming. So go back to the knitting and leave the big boys topic alone!

I was in a hotel room last week watching a recording of an Aus/Eng 20twenty game on ESPN. Anyway, some of the players e.g. Vaughan and Gillespie (Church) were 'miked up' to the commentators. Now, ordinarily, I don't particularly like limited overs cricket, but the commentary with the players/commentators and the fun that the players and fans (apart from 'Punter' Ponting, that is - the sour faced twat) seemed to be having really appealed to me. Well, appealed until I had to leave my room as I had a prior engagement with copious amounts of alcohol at the bar I imagine some of you will have seen this malarkey before, but how many find it as good as I thought it was? Or, who thinks it's a crock of shit? Thoughts?

1. Took Mrs Hips to Wembley last night to see George Michael. 2. Feel I've been a bit fleeced tbh 3. Work colleagues think I'm a disgrace to the Geordie nation for seeing G.M. 4. Just had 'seriously strong' cheddar cheese n onion sarnie. 5. Wondering if anyone fancies a snog right now?

Magpies boss keen to offload inconsistent Babayaro
snakehips replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
If Babayaro needs a lift to the station, I'd be happy to oblige. What a waste of money: Babayaro. Boumsong. Faye. Luque. -

GOT IT!! It is Life of Brian! When the Centurians are hammering on door where the PFOJ are meeting and to gain time for the members to 'hide' the old man takes his time answering the door saying ' I am old and tired' etc There, please feel free to carry on with the thread!

Tremendous adaption from Albert Kirkey to Alberquerque, if it is though The name Albert Kirkey came from a mishearing of the line from 'The King of Rock 'n' Roll' (Hot dogs, jumping frogs...etc.) by Prefab Sprout. It's not his real name. Never thought it was, Alex. I just thought it was pretty good thinking to metamorphose from Albert Kirkey to Alburquerque - had it been one in the same person I'm tired. Aye. Pure genius I honestly thought it was As I said, I'm tired. Fuck me gently. Welcome to 1988 I'm desperately trying to recall a scene from a film/play/tv show where there's an old bloke who comes out repeatedly with summat like 'I'm old and tired....' etc etc. EDIT: From 'Life of Brian' perhaps ??

I still get a hard on thinking of when we screwed £750,000 out of Spurs for Kevin Scott

That's it in a nutshell. I have always looked upon the stands as erections (oo-er missus) at the respective ends of the ground and NOT as the definitive descriptions of the correct areas of SJP. It will always be The Leazes and Gallowgate ends. I think you're right about 'the new stand' being called after Shepherd a while back. They probably dropped the name 'Shepherd Stand' when they decided 'the new stand' was far too small to truly represent our most wonderful, portly, Chairman!

Today's Quiz question: Who said, when getting the NUFC manager's job, 'This is the best squad of players I have ever had to work with' only to destroy it beyond recognition ?? Answers on a postcard to: Bitter jock bastard, Bittersville

This Ben Haim is a free agent, aint he? That means the signing on fee will have to be taken into account as well. Could we match Chewsee's offer? I doubt it. Tell him £50k per week max. If he doesn't like it he can fuck off to London. I haven't seen much of him but he can't be worth more than that amount of money.
