  1. Lembit Opek, take note. Career politician. Which should have ruled him out for standing for parliament on grounds of insanity. That and going out with the weather girl with the huge head, Sian wotsit The WELSH weather girl with the huge head and FLAT CHEST. Why would he do such a thing?????
  2. Oh, I dunno. It all depends on whether he washes his hands or not afterward. The real concern is whether he stands or sits (I can't recall which was the wrong way ) to wipe his arse after a shite.
  3. Aye, I was just reading about that. What a fucking disgrace. There are countless fans who try their best never to miss an away game, and they have had to jump through hoops time and time again to continue their passion. But this is just an utter disgrace.
  4. That's very generous pud. What's mrs pud cooking and what's your address? NE1 4ST Pie & Chips ( very reasonable) As opposed to 'not reasonable' ?
  5. He would sell today if the price was right, imo.
  6. What are the qualifying conditions, though? Work them out, and I'm right behind you. Anyone 'south of the river' would be a good opener methinks EDIT: Okay, that's a wee bit far fetched. Let's say 'south of the river' as far as N.Yorkshire moors, eh? Good job I'm not advocating a system which discriminates based on attaining basic literacy standards or you'd still be shooting blanks, sunshine Smish smash. What's a word between friends, I ask. I didn't go to university, so I am allowed to miss words
  7. 3-1 to him, I reckon. I guess the light grey strides were just 'not reasonable', to borrow a phrase.

  9. Hey, why didn't I get a PM?? Nobody loves me; not even the spammers
  10. I thought it was because Thatcher's popularity was at a record low. By the end it was at a record high. I'd say that makes me a cynic, but then, Leazes would say it makes me naive. No I wouldn't. Her popularity had sank from when she had been elected a few years earlier [which govt doesn't, not many] but she also had no opposition - I think Michael Foot may have been Labour Leader, who was nothing but a tramp and a lunatic. Yes, the Falklands propelled her in the popularity stakes. I think the majority of people realised the Falklands had to be done, apart from the idealistic anti-war mongs. There is no way Argentina would have negotiated over the Falklands, they wanted them back and the only way it would be done was by military means. He was in the wrong age (ie media etc) to ever have a chance of being PM but he had more intelligence and principles in his little toe than you could ever dream of. such as ? He looked a fuckin tramp at the Cenotaph man. That's it - one inappropriate choice of coat in an age when image is all that counts and a man is dismissed. Pathetic. Since its topical today, and to defend his honour, does Foot really look that scruffy in this photograph? I thought it was supposed ot be a Donkey Jacket as well? No, it never was a Donkey Jacket, but the description somehow suited the argument so it became common lore. I always thought of Foot as one of these guys who was just that bit too engrossed in politics. Highly intelligent, I suppose, but his 'day' was earlier than when he came to the very top iykwim.
  11. Some of you lot need to take a look in the mirror. You're just not reasonable. Shame on you.
  12. I don't mind people wanting capital punishment and enjoy arguing the case without indignation as you put it - however I stand by my comment that people who demand it for 10 year olds are twisted (though realised AP was joking). Armchair Phallus wasn't joking. He's a childsnatchingmordererrrrrrrr
  13. So, is Armchair Penis going to be neutered?? Some folk want capital punishment brought back, and the folk that don't call them inhumane or words to that effect. The capital punishers call the non cp-ers lilly-livered do-gooders. Why should one side be right, and the other wrong? The indignation one side has for the other gets on my tits at times, both believing they're completely right and, therefore, the others must be wrong etc etc. It is allowed in this country for someone to hold an opposing view. Just because it may differ from yours, does not make you right by default. im('umble)opinion, master Copperfield.
  14. Average attendance of 50,000 I was under the impression tickets were a lot cheaper though They average 21 euros. http://static.bundesliga.de/media/native/d...dfl_bl_2010.pdf They play 4 less games a season too. Must have a canny TV package. or maybe they pay their players less?????? You promote yourself as some Alan Whicker cum able bodied Steven Hawking, when the fact remains, you are reasonably dense. Take a bow. You've got to admit, S, you've been 'Flaired' there. Not quite as good as being Magma'd, but almost.
  15. Welcome home, kidda. I do visit there occasionally and I've probably posted around 6 times over the years, but some of them are a bit....strange, shall we say? (who just said 'pot calling the kettle' )
  16. So let me get this right.. they were given new identities, the cost of which was footed by us, the taxpayer and the MoJ thinks it's in the best interests of all to disclose the fact that one of them (with their secret identity) has been banged up again? Surely it'd have been in the best interests of all not to mention the connection to his former life? What the fuck have we paid for if not? The Ministry of Justice "confirmed". That means the story was already out. There would be no point in denying it, if the truth is already out there. Quite how the truth got out is another matter - I'd guess it is down to one of his relatives selling the news to a rag.
  17. Well done. Just let us know if you pass your practical, and when, so we know how more alert we need to be
  18. It would be pretty good having two Newcastle United supporters getting them relegated i.e. McMenemy and Bruce However, I reckon they have enough to stay up. But, as Human League sang "these are the things that dreams are made of".
  19. Re the Gazza one: see the guy at the back with his arm up? That's me. Re the one from the east side of the Leazes: Probably a pic taken as part of the investigation into the petrol bomb, and where, exactly, it landed

I remain to be convinced, tbh. Admittedly, you lot will have seen more of him than I, but I just wonder if he is that good. I do think he has a reasonably good partnership with Jonas, but what I saw didn't result in too much threat. When I've seen him this season, he had this habit of stopping on the ball in dangerous areas (particularly his bit of ground on the left hand side of the penalty area) and trying to out-fox the opposition. If he is still doing that - when he comes back - and continues to do it in the Prem (Allah willing - one for you there BR ) he will get, raped, I think the popular expression is these days.
  21. I'm going to give you a bit of slack here Renton. Why is it "fortuitous" ? Are you just latching onto the common view of those that won't give credit for anything ? Would you also say that the appointment of Alex Ferguson by ManU was also "fortuitous", and if not, why not ? Howay man, with Robson's existing connections with the club he was an absolute shoe in for the job. It was hardly an inspirational appointment by any means, every single man on the street would have made it. Even then though, according to Robson's biography, Shepherd nearly blew it by offering Robson a derisory salary. Ferguson's appointment was inspired in comparision, as was Wenger at Arsenal. Obviously there's a bit of luck and hindsight involved there though. So that begs the question, in a parallel Universe what would Shepherd and Hall done after Gullit had Robson not been available? Who knows but all the available evidence suggests to me they would have made a poorly judged appointment. It's worth pointing out as well that you keep banging on about us being the third biggest club in the country (or is it second) yet we only once achieved third under Shepherd. Not to mention we never won anything. Didn't even come close really. Yes things are much worse now but that just isn't relevant to the past. Anyway, the whole of football has turned to shit in the mean time, we'd be struggling at best still with Shepherd, and quite possibly have been relegated with debts big enough to destroy the club. It's just a shame we ended up with a tosser like Ashley. Of course, one half of your fantastic duo is responsible for selling out to Ashley anyway, he got his timing right, I'd give him that. And that's the truth regardless of whichever manager is appointed at a club. And is certainly the truth with KK's appointment. Yes, Duggie Haall and Shepherd championed his cause to Surgeon Hall, but never in their wildest dreams did they expect what happened, to happen. I bet they thought about increasing the gates (obviously) and 'let's hope for the best'. And the league position at the end of the season was no great revelation as to what would happen the next campaign. It wasn't until the first game of the next season against Southend that our eyes were well and truly opened as to what was happening on the pitch. EDIT: sory folks, started waffling and getting teary-eyed about KK.
  22. Soooooo, have the BNP won any more seats?

Tamas Kadar does look promising, composed on the ball, strong and aware but he is predominantly a CB not a LB....i'd rather him and Williamson be back up for CB alongside maybe another CB and us go and get another natural LB as cover for Jose. I agree about CM and ST but the thing is once we are promoted, who out of our current group of CM's and ST's will leave if any? Personally i'd wait and see what kind of impact Barton has when he returns, if good then id imagine him and Guthrie would be battling it out for a 1st choice CM place alongside Smith next year, if that was the case id want to see a DMC and a young promising CM brought is as cover. Id definatly let Nolan and Butt go, both dont have the legs for the CCC so definatly wont have the legs in the PL. Take your CM, your DM and your FM too Take your BBC, your ABC and Barney McGrew If your CAP was a DAB we could be wise But the LB, CB, CCC & CT hurt my eyes. Sorry, GL, just too many initials. Not having a go, believe me.
