  1. Before ebay tht stuff went for a lot more! I've still got my old Action Force figures somewhere but I sold all my Star Wars stuff.
  2. As they have now apologised all is forgotten... But the story is covered on NUFC.com with this very funny headline: Shirt lifters express regret.
  3. Away and 3rd shirts are always something of a lottery. I think the last non-black and white shirt that made the club a ton of cash would be the 1995-6 hooped throwback shirt. There have been some nice designs since but nothing that eye catching or classy, a difficult task with polyester! I think this years offerings are quite sensible, nice plain designs in popular colours. For me the biggest issue with the home kit is (not only the awful plastic sponsor patch) but the big back panel for the mumbers. Why don't we go back to red numbers on a retro style shirt next season?
  4. Now isn't the time for arguing. This will only work if we all Singh the same tune. We should all Seikh to Singh from the same hymn shiite Shiite doesn't really work for India, but nearly got the treble there!
  5. Never seen Newcastle away, try and watch Blyth as much as I can, but I really need to get to a NEwcastle away game. I know there's a slight difference between the Unibond premier/conference North and the Premier league but away games are often better somehow!
  6. It's crazy because Ashley has money to burn and he doesn't seem that bright, he should be a great owner! maybe Llambias is the real problem! But either way surely a new owner could actually lift some of the gloom that's hung over Newcastle United for a good two years now.
  7. Papa, that could well be the first match my dad took me too as well, definately Charlton and the year sounds about right, but I can't remember a damn thing about it apart from being cold.
  8. Interesting to see that people are thinking better the devil you know on this one! Ashley has proven over and over that he views the club purely as an asset to strip, and also that he thinks he knows better than the football people at the club what to do. As for the comment that choosing between Ashley and an Indian is like choosing between AIDS and cancer how crazy a comment is that?! It's actually like choosing between a proven arsehole and an unknown quantity. If you choose the devil you know, you're still choosing the devil.
  9. The Puma home shirt is really nice on paper but in 'the flesh' it's quite poor quality. The sponsor patch is particularly nasty. The profit margin in them must be close to 95%
  10. The A team didn't use AK's though the mag was the same shape but it was a different gun.
  11. If I was threatened with Boyzone concerts I'd behave myself too.
  12. True. It just screams to me of a school bully story. Only Ashley Cole is old enough to supposedly know better. The problem is that the lad who got shot obviously can get more money from Chelsea to say it was an accident than he could get in compo or off Max Clifford.
  13. I was told by a Gateshead fan that a lot of their support at Blyth were just people from Newcastle who wanted to see the game, and weren't actually Gateshead fans in particular. Makes sense seeing how they didn't sing or cheer! The Heed Army had their people there though just a few hundred not the 7-800 in the stand. Ps. This was one mans opinion.. so may not be true, like I said I've no interest in seeing Gateshead do badly or anything like that!
  14. What was this thread about again? Oh yeah, Ashley Cole. Anyway, just as a thought I used to sell air rifles (in a shop not a pub or something) and you know if you've ever shot one if it's cocked. He shot the lad for a joke and it went wrong, because it's not funny.. An uncocked air rifle trigger is easy to pull but when cocked the trigger is pulling against the pressure of the spring it's really hard to shoot by accident. Unless it was a Co2 one, but still, he's a twat for pointing it at someone anyway.
  15. Any team can be shamed by their idiot followers. Every team has some, but Rangers seem to have a few too many.
  16. I think 'bollocks' is the word I'm looking for. But nevr mind there's always the playoffs.. Fair play to Gateshead too, very good team. I'm not one for local rivalry nonsense so good luck to 'em.
  17. I really am happy that there's a decent North East contingent still in the FA Trophy, but seriously no matter what happens we allknow it would be best if Blyth won it!
  18. Agreed. Loads of potential there. I'd be surprised if it was true though! I still believe that Ranger is worth the time he needs in the 1st team. You can guarantee if he leaves he'll do well!
  19. What the hell did you have to google to get that background picture! I'm presuming it wasn't already in your pictures folder! Nice job though!
  20. No, no no.. Asprilla did perform, he wasn't a hit man striker, he was like Pele in Escape to Victory. Also he was at Newcastle for such a short time, he never had a chance really to impress everyone. However Shearer, Ginola and Ferdinand all have said he was the best player they ever played with. I value their opinions. He was crazy but he did give 100%. The Barcelona hat trick was actually very unlike his usual playing style.
  21. I wonder if Given would come back? At least then Ashley could sell him for something close to his real value.
  22. No ManUre fan, but he is a class act. Undoubtedly he will manage them one day.
  23. I'm just waiting for Pardew to say that Ashley won't sell up no matter what the deal..
  24. That's a very good video there too. I shamefully admit I'd forgotten how good a player Ferdinand was. Not just a poacher, but a real player. Happy belated birthday Mr. Keegan, and you're still welcome to play for Blyth!
