  1. If/when this lad comes in, he's going into a squad that doesn't even know who they'll be training with the next day, never mind what the holistic aim is for the season ahead. Ok, so it may be a.n. other signing given the outgoing(s), and it's at least a positive . . . in that it fills a shirt. What I think is very questionable is what kind of team spirit there's going to be given the characters being brought in and what has been / set to be shipped out. The implications of this is being pretty much overlooked given the state of confusion Ashley's consultants are conjouring up . I'm trying to get at 'where are the leaders amongst them' ? Colo as captain - never seen him cajole folk. His arse drops when he gets beaten more often than not. He's taking extra (english?) lessons i believe .... so what happens ? we sign French speakers . The senior players must be hollow as hell seeing what was the backbone and spirit carried through from CH disbanded . Very important to remember - that was pretty much what got us through last season. Should much emphasis be placed on the captaincy and their role ? I'm not sure, but what I do know is that I can't see anyone currently able to change a game with deeds rather than words amongst current players - and that's a big worry i think. The balance is looking wrong 'personality wise' . I fear a lot of shrugging of shoulders and the open-palm pointing towards boots to team-mates when conversely we'd have had JB or KN 'just getting on with it' . None of this badge kissing shit, i mean yarking the ball off the oppo for a free kick, picking the ball out the net and slamming it down on the centre circle, a visible 'g'waan lad' to your team-mates and consequently to the crowd ? Y knaa man - that kind of kaboodle . (The 'legs have gone' arguement doesn't come into this by the way.) It's about embodiment of spirit and what can come from it (he said sounding like a cunt) I know i've been very negative lately and acknowledge my ingrained cynacism , but honestly, with whatever the fuck's going on there currently - i'm less than fucking amused .
  2. The dollars have gone the same way as the rain - down a black hole and taken 'off site' away from view.
  3. Inevitable Grief>Censorship They've also (be told to) close their NU forum too . "Newcastle Evening Chronical - putting the chronic into journaism" Complete pile of shit.
  4. . . Tiote IS still a NU player isn't he ?
  5. Easily done in this weather. Ha I know what y mean but I cant do £20 for that like. If it was say £10th then fair do's ? 20 sovs - it's a lot of Vosene .
  6. Could almost be construed as a 1-10-0 if Ba gets injured ? I really hope Best comes good (as much for the bloke he is) and very excited at Cabaye . I can't say much more (with any real conviction) at present tbh.
  7. Re that animated gif - all credit to (i believe) 'kasper' off N-O (?). Im not one of these multi-forum characters, aint got time - but seen a few of his gifs floating about - if you're reading Kasper - keep them coming mate ! Stroller one on here great too ShiteSeats He did a great one of Barton on a bike too (think it was him anyway!) TwitterBug
  8. Nolan on Footy Focus just there. "a lot of broken promises"
  9. Danny Baker's a brilliant wordsmith like 606 a decade ago was great - speaking of which - has the generally going downhill bbc - got the same unlistenable rubbish lined up for 606 this season too anyone know ?
  10. As above Phone browser (dolphin on 3.2.2) quits loads when trying to post
  11. Kinda fits with CT's Gloria Gayner 80's playlists too
  12. The image has been cropped. Rest of the shirt reads "pear-headed cunt"
  13. Haha great man ! Could've conceivably been Dekka's cheese-addled helmet marching forth from the screen. And you're kidding nobody to the contrary Lee LapItup
  14. Oh god, no one cares about the odd monthly chip in from Moncur saying they're a bunch of wanks, we all know that. We want it reflected in the daily editorial instead of the stomach churning pish we have to endure every time we get the fuckin paper. I'd guess 3/4 of the Chronicle readership buy it for toon news if we all boycotted they'd sharp tell the truth. It's simply not worth the paper it's written on like . Moncur's as deep in the pocket as Peter B sadly. I'll not ask y if you've ever heard him when he stands in for SuperSpak on the Legends like Ste !
  15. Hi Lee He's clearly reading this thread. Hi from me too Lee !
  16. well here's the clincher ........ 1:03 Comment From Dave Lee, you get a lot of stick so great respect for coming in here but I have to ask you, why does the Chronicle continue to tow the club line in every article when the fans a.k.a your readership would like to see more articles taking into account their feelings toward the lack of communication from the club? 1:04 Lee Ryder: I don't agree with you Dave. We offer a balanced view and have plenty of room for fan reflection and opinions from ex players etc
  17. 12:51 Comment From Iain Do you think it would be appropriate for the Board to make a statement outlining their intentions for the club and their strategy for doing so? All there seems to be at the moment is a wall of silence, leaving the fans playing guessing games. 12:52 Lee Ryder: I think it would benefit everybody and the fans would know where they stand - but it would be nigh on impossible to please everybody, even Man U and Chelsea fans find something to moan about! Is he for fuckin real ? They actually put a pic up of him 'doing the webchat'
