  1. Two short, and my point is that it isn't strong enough. Unbeaten in 6 and 4th in the table suggests otherwise. SAFC spunked silly wages on Brown and O'Shea and they got torn apart by Norwich. Simpson and Raylor may not get into the national team but they will do a job at the club in our current situation. My point was the strength in depth isn't good enough. Not sure how that's unclear or even debatable. absolutely. I think part of the reason we've shown this good form is because we haven't been battered by injuries like we have been, but once a couple of injures happen we could be looking short in a few areas, notably defensively.
  2. Infact ive just googled it and it says that the tournament isnt til 2012 I always thought it was every 2 years and was scheduled for this year?
  3. Mistake on my part, he's 21, but the point still stands on how stupid it is to judge him after being out for more than a year and having less than 3 games playing for us and the age that he is at
  4. I agree, and if Dalglish doesn't win something (or get to a domestic cup final) he'll go along with the expensive flops; Adam, Carroll etc. He just doesnt seem to fit into they way the play, whereas here he was the main point of our team and we built our play around him I think thats the bottom line really. We played to him rather than with him. Whenever you see them play it just looks as though theyre trying to put a square peg in a round hole and hoping that he'll get a goal and everything will fall into place and it just doesnt look like happening for him with they way they set-up and them having Suarez as thier main man up top and having him play second fiddle to him.

  6. It's every two year it comes round but it does feel as though it's on all the time like
  7. Are people seriously writing him off already even though he's only played 130 or so minutes of first team football for us? Give him a chance FFS he's only 20 and gets in the under 21 side aswell. Didn't he have a decent pre-season too, or one of the few players that did in the circumstances? Some people just seem to find any stick to beat a player with, especially when theyre rating Abeid higher than him when theyve never seen him play and played less football than him
  8. I think unfortunately the whole striker search will overshadow any other replacements we need to get in and will probably be the only deal we tie up, even with Tiote/Ba going to the African Nations Cup
  9. Just found out that I'd put in 2 flexi days on Friday and Monday ages ago, so i can have a long weekend playing it, so i think i might just pop up to Asda at midnight the morn and get it, it's usually cheaper there and about £32 if i can remember correctly
  10. Anyone know what the crack is with him? He seems fit but isnt even in the matchday squads anymore just the Carling Cup
  11. I think he's been injured the past few games for them aswell
  12. Supposedly there was a Twitter campaign malarky last night to mess up the MOM voting or soemthing along those lines
  13. CT will be gan f*cking mental over this What was his wages before he got a new contract? Although it's good news, I don't see this leading to a new contract for Colo as his wages are sky high and is most likely wanted off the wage bill
  14. Unaware of any bother but the stewards took a few of the persistent standers downstairs and (presumably after giving them a final warning) let them back to their seats a bit later. It’s a bit unfair on some of the lads who have been standing on the back row for years before the LC lot turned up, but that’s how the club is being ran nowadays. Probably been seen but this on .com "Following problems during the Arsenal and Fulham home games with persistent standing in the Strawberry Corner, we understand that around 40 season ticket holders were handed one match "bans" excluding them from this game (although they could have bought/used seats elsewhere). In addition it's claimed that around 100 season ticket holders in the same section were issued with written warnings as to their future conduct. At least five fans were removed by stewards in the first half today." Just shows what a pitiful c*nt he is that he's punishing fans for a change that should never have happened
  15. Cheers, I'll tell me brother not to bother getting it anytime soon and is best to just get another game instead
  16. Pretty sure I seen Stoke's ratings somewhere and Palacios was rated 79 but Tiote is only rated 78 and is a mile better than him aswell. Thankfully the ratings on the demo look to be wrong as players were massively over-rated on there
  17. Mine loves people and doesnt get agitated over them he just wants to meet them but the times he does get scared is when he can sense even the slightest bit of hostility in someones voice or from another animal and he just starts shaking like a leaf and wants to get away. Mine does the same when it's asleep too, were it just shoots up if there is any movement. This is him
  18. Player ratings: Yohan Cabaye 80 Fabricio Coloccini 79 Jonas Gutierrez 79 Hatem Ben Arfa 79 Demba Ba 79 Cheick Tiote 78 Steven Taylor 76 Mike Williamson 75 Sylvain Marveaux 75 Steve Harper 75 Danny Simpson 75 Davide Santon 75 Tim Krul 74 Ryan Taylor 73 Dan Gosling 73 Danny Guthrie 72 Leon Best 72 Shola Ameobi 71 Peter Lvenkrands 71 Gabriel Obertan 71 Alan Smith 70 James Perch 69 Nile Ranger 67 Tamas Kadar 65 Rob Elliot 65 Haris Vu[!]269;ki[!]263; 61 Ole Soderberg 60 Ryan Donaldson 60 Bradden Inman 57 Shane Ferguson 56 Joan Simun Edmundsson 52
  19. I know it's in bad taste, but come on! Honestly, he looks like a beast, but he's soft as crap. Next door's westy barked at him from their yard when he was out in the street and he came back in the house with his tail between his legs and head down too
  20. Sorry to hear it like I couldnt imagine losing my dog, I've got a big, chubby staffy and he's the softest thing in the world, he's even scared of other dogs and cats, he still gets the shakes aswell when he's scared cos one of the previous owners used to beat him (The scumbag) but all he wants is to be fed and his belly rubbbed, bless.
  21. I thought he looked canny on Saturday, he just needs to get his head up a bit more and have a bit of confidence and he should be a decent player for us. Too many people trying to look at faults of players when we're only a few games into the season, at least give him time to bed into a new team before slinging him into the shyte bin.
  22. What was the atmosphere like down in the SE corner on Saturday? When i first looked down there from when I got into the ground their seemed to be a lot more stewards down there. Was there any bother between them and supporters with fans standing, chanting?
  23. Me arse was gan like a rabbit's nose everytime I seen a tackle go in on him
  24. Seems as though he sticks the ball in the back of the net when its only split second thinking, but when he has a few seconds to gather his composure he messes up which happened a couple of times on Saturday
  25. We should still mix in the likes of Gosling, Vuckic and the like with a number of first teamers and be able to get through this tie without a massive fuss
