course he can, lawrenson and Hanson dont bother not being biased, Shearer tries too hard not to be and ends up bitching about us every time. hes an absolutely shocking pundit and Barton was absolutely right about him with the shirt shoes and views comment. I didn't think he was too bad tbh. You can't have expected too much of him, like most people agree with the first game in England etc etc, but if the flashes he showed are to go by, i'm quite excited by him.

I rate him a lot but Enrique was playing for Newcastle in the Premier League at 22, and the Premier League is better than the Eredivisie. Probably not, but I don't think he's too far off. Even if he isn't as good, he's a Dutch international so 7 million is a decent price tbh (that said, Anita is probably the only other left back the Netherlands have, and I don't really rate him at all).

Like I said earlier, I do watch a lot of Eredivisie (always on ESPN plus I watch many games online), and he's a good player if a little incomplete, he won't be as good as Enrique now but given a few years I think he can be just as vital to us as Jose was.

Aye. See Celtic and Rangers imo two scummy clubs which should have fuck all to do witrh Northern Ireland. Besides, I don't agree with your opening paragraph, Clint Dempsey is my favourite football player and I have a lot of respect for the way the players seem to fight for their shirt in America, hence me having an America shirt. I have a Northern Ireland shirt because I like their fans, team and fact they have an impressive history despite being a small nation. Anyway, they are British, and England technically isn't a sovereign nation, so if you only care about "home country" that'd be true. I also have an England shirt, but due to disliking most of Englands players i'm not the biggest England fan on earth, of course I want England to win when they play in tournaments but it plays a second role to club football every day of the week. As for your Argentina thing, I disagree too, people need to stop politicising football, if someone loves Lionel Messi et al it doesn't mean they can't show an affinity for the football they play purely based on the fact the United Kingdom (key word, not England) went to war with Argentina 20 years ago and that tensions still run high. If I like a football team based on football i'd happily wear a shirt. Similarly, I hate Italian football and would never wear an Italy shirt, but I have absolutely nothing against the Italian state.
