This lad that was killed by the coppers on his stag-do in NYC

Only six and up, RACIST! They're not arabs ffs. I like the way people tend to scream about the poor innocents in these cases. The cops have obviously lost it a bit, but these lads obviously driving home pissed drunk, spending their stag do in a dodgy bar with a repuation for gun problems and causing trouble outside? They sound like real stand-up guys. Still no justification whatsoever to fill a car with bullets and kill a bloke on the eve of his wedding. Coppers are supposed to be responsible, they can't just shoot anyone who "looks a bit dodgy". Aye. Did strike me as chronically bad timing. Should have burst into the chapel in the middle of the vows, tbh. -

Absolutely nothing wrong with this - only fillinga gap in the mortgage market, which as it is will only be of any use in large swathes of Bradford.

I think he would be willing to come on loan realising he isn't first choice at chelsea and wanting some first team football, why oh why didn't we get him in summer? Because the Chairman's a complete dick.

Buying a new car isx a mug's game. Why take the hit on the depreciation in the first year? Buy a nearly new or ex demo from the showroom, and save yourself a few grand is what I say. Bought my Alfa Romeo as an ex-demo with only 120 miles on the clock and it was 3 months old, still got £7000 off the list price of a comparable new one. Even then, this represented bad business. Nonono...used or nearly new (i.e. about a year old) is the way to go.

There was a bit of a preview on Newsnight earlier on - it looks like the shit will hit the fan good and proper. Or they'll be a massive cover-up and things will continue as before... Not hard to guess which way things will go, really, is it?

Apologies but another Muslim Thread (serious)

So....any gay ginger greek Muslims on this board who have a big beard? -
I'm not tarring all muslims with the same brush though. Moderate muslims who are happy to live in and contribute to our secular society are welcome in my book. BUT I think there is now a sizable minority who don't fit this description, and they are the ones mainly to blame for the increasing hostility towards the muslim population. Regarding the pope, he should say what he thinks without having to worry about how certain sections of Islam are going to react. Like I say, it's incredibly ironic that the protesters proved him right. More aimed at others tbh, in this thread though. I largely agree with what you say above too but the Pope was irresponsible (in my view) in what he said. He should be able top say what he wants in an ideal world but he knows he can't and he probably knew exactly what he was getting himself into here. Yup, Alex, I noticed. I'm just venting my spleen, because I really am beginning to feel oppressed by fundamentalist Islam and the way it's screwing up the world. If in the process of venting that spleen, I appear to have tarred all muslims with the same brush, I apologise. OK, maybe I'm too willing to succumb to the inherent Islamophobic attitudes that pervade the western media - but if you can't see what a threat Islam presents to the western way of life, then I'd be interested to learn why not... As regards the Pope...well I see no reason why just because it offends their nutty belief system, the Pope shouldn't allude to the history of violence that has attended the development of Islam through the ages...I don't think this is as black-white an issue as some would have it.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ion/5355924.stm Robson and West Brom part company West Bromwich Albion have parted company with manager Bryan Robson "by mutual consent". The former Middlesbrough manager took control of the club in November 2004 following Gary Megson's departure. Club chairman Jeremy Peace said: "In view of the results since early 2006, it's been decided a change is necessary if the club is to achieve its aims. "This is a very important time for the club with promotion a priority and the best way forward is to make a change." First-team coach Nigel Pearson will assume control of selection affairs while the club considers its options. He will be at the helm for Tuesday's Carling Cup clash with Cheltenham. West Brom are currently ninth in the Championship having won three of their matches, lost two and drawn three this season. Robson pulled off West Brom's dramatic escape from relegation in his first season at the Hawthorns on the final day of the 2004/05 Premiership season. They were the first team in the history of the Premiership to stay up despite being bottom of the table on Boxing Day. But Robson was unable to repeat the trick for a second year running and the Baggies were relegated along with Midlands rivals Birmingham and Sunderland. Peace kept faith with Robson over the summer, insisting he wanted stability at the club and because Robson had twice won promotion to the Premiership when he was in charge at Middlesbrough. However, after a disappointing start to the Championship campaign, Robson's tenure at the club was cut short after Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Southend. Robson had won just 19 of his 81 matches in charge of West Brom and only two league matches away from home. The former Manchester United and England midfielder succeeded Megson at West Brom, after he sacked in October 2004. However, even then there was some opposition from supporters to his appointment despite serving the club with great distinction as a player. His last job - at Bradford - culminated in the team's relegation to League One and his six years at Middlesbrough ended with Terry Venables being brought in.

The irony is great. The pope is largely misinterpreted as saying Islam is a religion of violence, so how do some muslims respond? By burning churches and killing nuns ffs! Are they too stupid to realise they are verifying the pope's point? I regard myself as a moderate person, but I have to say that I now regard muslims as a direct threat to our liberty and freedom of speech. I'm beginning to join the "if you don't like it, fuck off" brigade. I don't see how western society can coexist with fundamental islam. You're not the only one. Used to think I was reasonably tolerant of different cultures, but I'm increasingly losing patience with the fundamentalist lunatic fringe of Islam - which doesn't seem to be so much a "fringe" as the whole frigging load of 'em.
