Ridiculous really - the whole furore over the misquoting of the Pope (who was only making the point that there was no room for violence in spreading the "word of God") was bizarre. So no surprise to me to see the usual over-reaction of Muslims setting fire to effigies of the Pope and torching Christian churches. Any such protests in the UK should have been punished immediately by death. That'd shut the lunatic bastards up (not). No, but seriously, there's no reason why the Pope should have apologised...for what? For telling the truth that these Islamic freaks live their lives according to a code which is steeped in violence and misogyny?

I'm still in mourning. Doubt I'll ever get over it, either.

Until fairly recently, everyone rated him as shit, so I'm not sure how that works. He looks a class player to me. He IS a class player, he was shite for England when Sven constantly played him out of position. How anyone can say he's over-rated is beyond me. Perhaps this injury will give Parker a chance to get in the squad and prove himself on the international stage.. Just so long as Parker doesn't crock himself whilst on international duty.

The majority will ask insistently for cash and then grudgingly accept whatever the alternative is. Are you talking about street beggars or genuinely homeless people who sleep on the streets, mate?

Worst thing is the noise - kids playing in the street (well, I say playing when I actually mean vandalising things, breaking bottles, etc) during the early evening, drunken arseholes shouting until the early hours of the morning, inconsiderate student types across the way playing crap "dance" music, traffic jams in the rush hour. But then I did choose to live in the city centre of Edinburgh, so I guess I'm not in a position to complain really.
