  1. Well, it was good while is lasted. I went to 2022 as Newcastle boss, won the league cup twice, the premier league in my final season and Europa league, made it to a champions league semifinal as well. I assembled an incredible team, including 2 wingers from Monaco for my final season one of whom went on to win the Balon d'or that year. Then the fuckwit who bought us from Ashley (who floated us on the stock market and made £0 from it) decided to give me no money to spend and throttle my wage budget despite the fact money was rolling in. Aging but still useful players contracts ran out, I couldn't replace them, squad was short and I was given nothing to spend so I resigned. Max Allegri was brought in from Juve and is subsequently dismantling my squad while I've taken his place at Juventus. I'd have been better off if Ashley had stayed...
  2. ...yeah And that's why I don't have one!
  3. Or to spend £20/25 million one someone good...
  4. Theres your answer, if he improves us then theres no harm, given that our lot only seem able to focus on one deal at any one time it is a concern that there are no links to defenders or forwards anywhere.
  5. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope so obviously. My point was more that if we've ended up paying 14 million when we've been desperate for players to make a difference and they've haggled for weeks and got nothing for it then they're gimps. Sissoko has said today that he doesn't want to leave this window as he wants to keep playing matches before the euros.
  6. If the fee turns out to be £14 million then our board are (once again) confirmed to be fucking chumps
  7. We've been told Lacazette is staying at Lyon.
  8. It's never going to happen, we'll arse about with this until the end of the window and end up with no one
  9. hnnnnnngggggggghhhhhhhhh https://marshallamps.com/products/amplifiers/mini-jubilee-series/
  10. I think you have a problem mate. A lovely lovely problem. This arrived from Amazon yesterday, always wondered about these and whether they were any good, quite like it so far. Though my enjoyment was tempered by the realisation that a new stand I have is not nitro finish friendly and there are now 2 patches of paint stripped off the bottom of my les paul
  11. We have apparently ended our interest in Townsend and are looking at Sandro Rodriguez on loan from barca with Scott Sinclair or Matt Phillips next on the list
  12. I don't think he's a better option than Perez. Strength in depth is good and important but considering we got Wijnaldum for not a lot more I think we ought to be improving the starting lineup. We're considerably more in need of an out and out striker and a defender or two.
  13. Hes just not all that good. I could really see Shelveys place in our side, similar for saivet since we've known tiote was shot for a couple of seasons and gouffran is terrible. Whats Townsends place? I'd rather have Sissoko on the right and to get the best of Wijnaldum/Mitro/Perez we need them all on the pitch which means Perez starting on the left.
  14. All the best people fail first time. They don't do what I did though and lock the keys in the car before leaving the test centre.
  15. I thought it was low potassium? Have a banana
  16. Old pards after his traditional drubbing by man city...
  17. It was comfortably the worst mistake he's made here, hopefully he takes it as a kick up the backside and keeps his head in that situation next time.
  18. You're joking aren't you? A lazy, underhit back pass is the keepers fault?
  19. Wouldn't take Gomis, Ayew definitely but does he fill a place we need filling? He's not a striker or a left back
  20. We should have had that wrapped up by half time. 3 points though, desperately needed.
