Better off with de Jong in the box I would've thought. We might find out we've some really good free kick takers now we're (hopefully) rid of the floated ball to Williamson at the back post routine.

We don't have a great record with top clubs cast offs, would rather buy people on their way up rather than down.

Is Benzema available? Hes Real Madrids only out and out striker and a huge part of why Ronaldo is so effective. No chance hes going anywhere for less than that 32.5 million.

Gouffran is, we haven't seen enough of De Jong but as a general I reckon you wouldn't say dutch attacking midielders aren't capable of playing a passing game.

Who does he play instead? we've not got any further options at CB that are likely to be near the first team this year. Be honest Noelie you've never had confience in Mclaren, you've just had this odd fixation on the fact he once used an umbrella when it was raining.

He's more marketable than them, and already proven to be good enough for the premier league. 50m is buttons to this lot, they've a family worth of about a trillion dollars, they're just buying whoever they fancy buying.

Aye same, this kid will have to be special to be worth the hassle/ego he seems to be bringing with him. Considering he seems to have trouble keeping weight off as well he sounds like another wasted potential story waiting to happen. There just aren't many good out and out strikers about anymore, especially for clubs like us.
