Nope, one more game for me before christmas and thats out on friday already got my FPS with military pretensions bought solely for multiplayer this year in BF3, I'll possibly pick up MW3 at some point or borrow it from someone just to see where the batshit story goes

but thats just it, asking is a case of sending an email or making a phone call, its not exactly a great job but who gets the job of deciding what conflicts warrant an emblem or what issues are allowed to be put on show on a football shirt? if no one gets any movement then yes people are going to be pissed off but they'll be pissed off fairly and equally at least and, as has been said, the staff can still all wear poppies on the sidelines, the players could still all come out with them on those stupid jackets they wear for the anthem and I think im right in saying there will still be a minutes silence at the start the rule just says "no kit changes midseason" and its being enforced Mate, I get dozens of emails, phone calls and meetings at work every day and have to make many decisions. Most I will get right, some I will unfortunatley get wrong. But getting some wrong and achieving something is better than making no decisions and doing nothing at at all. do any of your decisions concern offending entire nations?

I disagree on it being a moral judgement on my part but if thats the case what level of significance do fifa say "no this is a frivolous abuse of the rules we wont allow it"? who has the right to decide that? fact is if they allow the use of the poppy then they have no fair grounds to refuse any other nation the right to any other emblem

That's the thing. FIFA are treating this as in inconvevience. It really wouldn't be hard to grant one off permission for this. I mean, why do FIFA actually get their money? but that just the point, its a blanket no exceptions rule, if they make one they'll have to make more, precedents are set. newsflash we aren't that fucking special, many other countries have many other things they want to commemorate just as much as we'd like to do this. why should we get permission while they shouldnt? Bollocks, there has only been 2 World Wars and the second one was the most significant event in the history of mankind. FIFA may be correct in following their own rules and thats fine but it doesnt give them any moral highground, nor you. what moral highground am I claiming there?

and who decides what constitues a racist/partisan emblem? things aren't a simple black or white in matters like these

I dont think it is, as an aside Ive never known or heard of anyone who finds the poppy offensive, its like some kind of percieved offence that "other people" have same with this fifa thing, so many people have assumed its purely an antipoppy initiative without actually checking out the simple fact that its is a blanket ban on any and all additional emblems to save fifa an unneccessary moderating job

Genuinely laughed out loud at todays Penny Arcade

Day one patch confirmed good news that they're still working to get rid of bugs that shipped rather than fucking around with EA style useless premium crap

the worst thought out transfer "link" I have ever seen has just popped up on my feed http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/newcastle-and-spurs-alerted-by-italians-future-com

well they did at least manage a "swiss people are nazis" dig for no reason and completely unrelated to anything else
-
nope nothing, they rule is limited to changes to the kit such as an embroidered poppy no reason our lads couldn't wear the regular paper ones on their "anthem jackets" and the subs/staff have them on either

I thought Barca were playing Bilbao theyd be pissed off with Duo there, they have a real thing about people getting that wrong

theyve a fair few playing in the other top european league and euro competitions I dont mind him not being in to be honest, thats some long journeys for games I've always wondered about this. Argentina must have the two best CBs in the world if Colo can't get a game. I'll stress right away that this isnt a list of those I think are BETTER than Colo just argie CBs playing for fairly big clubs Otamendi at Porto Fazio at Sevilla Garay at Benfica (recently spoken about on here as being class as it happens) Burdisso at Roma Milito (once of barca now at Independiente in Argentina) Demichelis at Malaga, largely expected in spain to hit CL football this season as theyve gone mad on signings Walter Samuel at Inter so theyre relatively well stocked without Colo, though on merit he should still be getting in, as I said though, pleased hes not I dont want him to fly that far for games and the possiblity of coming back tired or injured

picks johnson but not richards because hes not sure of richards defending thing is, its not just capello, all recent england managers have had some shite selection policies
