Again... The shirt manufacturers have had far too much say in the design of kits IMO. 99.99999% of fans like the simple designs. agreed, look at our kits, black and white striped shirt, black shorts, black socks sounds so simple when you put it like that but it still manages to get completely arsed up more often than not occasionally there are things added people love like the grandad collar (which I didnt love tbh) but no one ever likes all the swishes and flourishes and shite
-
That's sort of backs up my point tbh, since I mentioned it only takes a third of the time here to get it as it does in Spain. I.e. they have to do about 1000 hours instead of 300 and yet we've still only got 1,200 coaches to their 11,000 or so. I think kids not playing so much may also be a factor but other comparable countries have the same problems there too. it would help if, when the kids who dont make it are cut loose they were encouraged by their clubs to stay on and take coaching courses, same for officials rather than the "youre not good enough now fuck off" attitude taken by clubs when they release their kids at 18 or whatever it is
-
whats that got to do with anything? good point tbf, but it again comes down to coaching just coaching the coaches rather than coaching the players, got to get it right from the most basic level and start it moving up the chain I've played 11 a side as a kid as well as 5/6/7 a side and its true what alex says, 11 a side as it is coached and played today in england is not going to produce players with skill or anything close unless the 2 big lads on the team (one at the back to lump it forward to the one at the front) happen to have the talent in there too the rest are making up the numbers, while playing 5/6/7 a side on smaller pitches means every player is in the game more and every player will defend and attack which will surely produce more capable players than 9 kids on each side watching the 4 biggest kids lump it around for an hour or so occasionally getting a touch in which they are expected to pass it too one of those big kids
-
Have you been reading this thread 5 and 7 a side are a lot to blame for the lack of decent talent coming through in this country imo. What happened to playing on a muddy, bouncy field on a sunday morning with a 60mph cross wind! rubbish

back from a few days away and just finished watching that I was 5 when senna died so I'm certainly part of the generation that doesn't know him all that well, though its easy to pick up on the absolute admiration for him its all been second hand, really enjoyed that whole show the SS was awesome cruise and diaz were actually good guests and cruises lap time will stand for a fair while I reckon
-
are they quite reputable then?
-
36 is the supposed target then
-
I'm like that, once the last of the real players area hitting retirement I usually stop though u do like having a backroom of ex pros from now

we'll not be camping at a lake no, LD is all about the fells for me, we'll hopefully be staying nearish to keswick since we're planning to go up skiddaw but since most sites seem to be first come first serve we're just going to head up with a list of sites and try to get a pitch at one of them By that comment I guess that lots of people camp in that skiddaw area? well Keswick, which is a lovely place, is right at the base of skiddaw and there are campsites and hostels and B&Bs and such by the dozen around there since its a good spot in the LD for quite a lot of great walks but we're going for, hopefully, a nice site which might fill up since its family holiday time and the weather has fined up after a few weeks of crap

you ever tried blowing up a double mattress without something like that? Dont be daft, he would get his lass to do it like a normal bloke. I considered it but shes that damn small it would take 3 days before I had a bed to sleep on
-
as opposed to their futures being decided when they're 20? the system works to the advantage of both clubs if we signed cleverly for a season on loan then we're getting a player for our team as good as our midfield for a year and man u get to see how he develops as opposed to us signing no-one because there isnt the money to spend and a hole being left in our piss weak midfield
