Can't believe I forgot the most quotable film ever! "That's a great plan, Walter. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch." "God damn you Walter! You fuckin' asshole! Everything's a fuckin' travesty with you, man! And what was all that shit about Vietnam? What the FUCK, has anything got to do with Vietnam? What the fuck are you talking about?" "Obviously you're not a golfer." "Nihilists! Fuck me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos." "Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one around here who gives a shit about the rules? Mark it zero!" "Shut the fuck up, Donny! V.I. Lenin. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov!" "Hey, careful, man, there's a beverage here!" "Fucking dipshit with a nine toed woman." "I dropped off the money exactly as per... look, man, I've got certain information, all right? Certain things have come to light. And, you know, has it ever occurred to you, that, instead of, uh, you know, running around, uh, uh, blaming me, you know, given the nature of all this new shit, you know, I-I-I-I... this could be a-a-a-a lot more, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, complex, I mean, it's not just, it might not be just such a simple... uh, you know?" I could go on, but the point is made.

I like Bastard. (After the Five like, but still)

You missed the best two tbh.... "I'll bet you're the kind of guy that would fuck a person in the ass and not even have the goddam common courtesy to give him a reach-around." "Bullshit. I bet you could suck a golfball through a garden hose."

Not from a film but from a director who, after being shot at during an interview, said "It was not a significant bullet. I am not afraid." Legend

What's that off again? 172605 Fool 172608 172609 By Christopher Walken if I'm not mistaken. 172612 You are indeeed mistaken, it's Dennis Hopper. The single greatest advert for smoking ever.

class that. he also did another comedy called 'the super'. 172568 It wasn't so class though. it was crud. -
"Got to plumb....plumb the depths...the depths of hell." "You ate the baby Jesus?" "I thought he was a monkey"

I love both of those films. De Niro is a comedic genius.

Chinatown? 172574 Bingo!

I often do that, but I hate the idea of someone doing it on my recommendation. -

As it's been a while since I raved about it, and it only came out on dvd yesterday, I thought I'd bump this post and implore you all to get hold of it. I really hope it becomes the next Shawshank (Box-Office flop to rental classic) because it's just as worthy. -

Saboteur Hitchcocks WW2 cautionary tale of protecting the American way. Very pertinent to the current climate when innocent individuals are detained beyond a reasonable time. Despite the incredibly wooden performance of Robert Cummings I also enjoyed it as a thriller. The Cinema scene looked lush. I can see why it's not one of his more popular films, but it's still a cut above most. -

Only Seen Casablanca and The African Queen out of those. I prefer F.C. Dobbs to his characters in either of those. I've got the rest to look forward to. 171857 I would agree with Sierra Madre over African Queen but I do prefer Casablanca. The Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep are classic Bogart for me and with the Maltese falcon you get the added bonus of Sidney Greenstreet and more importantly Peter Lorre. I recomend you stop messing about on the internet and go and watch these now. 171879 It's been on my rental list for a while. I'll have to increase its priority. If I ever see a Peter Lorre film better than M, I'll be impressed. 171888 I've been after seeing that for quite a while now myself. It was on the Horror Channel a while back but I kept missing it. 171916 You'll spoil it for yourself watching it on there. The picture quality on that channel should have it banned from all homes. There's a lovely restored DVD which makes it that much more pleasant to watch. -
