  1. My classsic album playlist. All the albums I've listened to from start to finish many many times over and rarely feel the need to skip a track on.
  2. There'll be posts from me on here a few years ago saying work was canny, any of the shit that goes with it was water off a ducks back. Bollocks to that shit now. Hate every second and have taken up the lottery again to give my life some hope.
  3. Got a proper work place lunatic stifled laugh from me that like.
  4. And so shouldn't be burning past us in the league. That's the point. There's no other clubs that have had more income and been in the league a comparable amount of time. You've got a point on the window still being active, but as it stands there's still little to complain about on the transfer front.
  5. They don't harm the comparison then do they? I've not omitted anyone who should be challenging our 7th to 10th place dominance by spending more have I?
  6. My issue has never really been with what Ashley let's the club spend on players. We've spent £27m with McClaren in charge and many think it's a corner turned. We spent £27m the year Keegan took over and it was rosy for about 3 games and we got relegated. We spent £37m last summer and survivced on the last day by luck rather than design. Beyond investment in the squad, Ashley is a fuck-nut who can't help but walk from one disaster to another.
  7. Can't remember who linked to the article I read but the journo that wrote it was saying one of his standard questions has always been "Who did you support as a kid?". More and more the answer is "I never supported anyone". It stands to reason as well. What age were you when you built a bond with the club you support? Raheem Sterling was born in Kingston Jamaica, emigrated to London at 7, Started at the QPR academy at 9, and moved to Liverpool at 15. Where exactly should his loyalty lie? Most players are whisked off to academy's far from home long before they can build any affiliation to a local club these days. Even if they do go to their local academy, they spend their lives on the inside looking out at fans rather than being fans on the outside looking in and idolising the players and what it would be to work with them. Footballers are more like F1 drivers now. Winning the constructers championship is all well and good, but they want the personal glory.
  8. Just watched that Finley Quaye video. Spinal Tap would have cut that scene for being too broad. "I've got alcoholism" "We'd love to see you for a party in the bar" [emoji38]
  9. I was reading nufc accounts from 1983 yesterday. The detail is far greater than these days in half as many pages (£42,186 on laundry for example) One player had a loyalty bonus payable at the end of their contract and that was £7,500. Mike Williamson wipes his arse on £7.5k every time he takes a shit. I don't know what this says about the question. Probably that the game is beyond them being any concern to top flight players.
  10. I always thought a show was a clip. As in "look at the clip of that show in the corner, he's fell asleep and pissed his pants" Mam always used to say "stop making a show of yourself" and I wasn't dressing up as the T2 when she did.
  11. Can't get "Fiiiixins" out of my head
  12. Devasted I'm coming to the end of this. Great show.
  13. Apparently the new Amy Winehouse doc is very good at criticising those around her and those distantly enjoying her demise. It's all archive footage as well. No talking heads, just audio interviews. Same bloke that made Senna.
  14. Babysitting the nephew on Saturday gone we decided to watch it too. Thought it was excellent.
  15. Depends on your definition of successful. Ashley and many of the fans who have patience with him see it as survival.
  16. Murray can win Wimbledon for all I care, he's never hit a serve as hard as Greg Rusedski so who is the real winner? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fastest_recorded_tennis_serves
  17. Aye, was the first one mentioned as a target that he wanted so looks to be one that's been chased down to keep him onside. For me, as happy as I am to see us pay a reasonable fee for a well respected talent, I was most concerned about brining in quality, not quantity and that quality was needed at CB and CF. This looks like the player brought in to allow Sissoko to leave rather than fulfilling any of the urgent needs within the squad.
  18. Toontastic scouts were on to him 4 years ago http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/22862-other-games/?p=897053
  19. More like the FAQ section of a shit website.
  20. We've learned that the much trumpeted new training complex has been put on ice. The builders and surveyers and that had to concentrate on Premier League survival apparently. Can't start now either, it would interrupt the new season.
  21. Thought he was reasonably specific about 'someone' being the nations on the UK's own human rights abuse lists. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/defence/10183222/Britain-approves-12bn-of-military-exports-to-human-rights-abusers.html
