Less satisfying to crush with your bare hands when finished though.

Excellent parenting. 141991 Aye, Physics and History lessons and some fun too. 142002 You've got me thinking what films I have to make sure my bairns see while they're young enough to really enjoy them. So far (in addition to those you mention) I've got... The Kid Toy Story x 2 The Goonies The Incredibles Shaolin Soccer Rocky Spirited Away Star Wars The Ten Commandments The Wizard of Oz Mary Poppins ET The Iron Giant Willy Wonka Watership Down Ferris Buellers Day Off The Champ I'm sure I'm missing loads though. The Proposition - They don't make enough westerns any more. This is an excellent Aussie film (written by Nick Cave of the Bad Seeds). Some moments of horrible violence, so the sqeamish might want to avoid it, but otherwise I recommend. -

Excellent parenting. -
I wasn't too fussed on the motion sensetive stuff until I saw the game where you can conduct an orchestra. That sounds class to me.

So why did you go and watch 3 separate films with giant flaming monsters; walking, talking trees; a gollum, an army of dead people, massive cave monsters, a huge flaming eye and lots of other stuff you new about from the book? What CGI was in there was very good, especially after the Fellowship. -

I thought the Fellowship of the ring was superb, but got bored during the two towers. He completely screwed up on the return of the king and despite massacreing the book's ending, and missing the entire point of the trilogy I thought, he still made it an hour too long! Jesus did cry at those numerous false endings. 141509 So although it was too long and there were too many endings, you wanted the scouring of the Shire (is that what it's called) in there too? Moon on a stick! -

I wonder about the animosity toward Peter Jackson. Fair enough if you don't like the films, but they have their place and are very good at what they're meant to do. They're kids books and films, and kids love them. In the same way George Lucas gets shite, Jackson is slagged off for inspiring bairns. Difference is, Jackson is still doing it on a budget too (none of the LOTR films cost more than $100M and every penny is on screen). I'm no Jackson fanboy, but calling him a cunt when Michael Bay is still allowed to make films strikes me as grossly unfair. -

My only problem with King Kong was how it lurched from one precarious situation to another. I was thoroughly enjoying the story until they decided to stop it for an hour and a half of running through the forest. Saying that, I had exactly the same problem with the original, I guess he wanted to honour it. -

If you totalled sales of the artists on our lists, I think mine would have more. (though U2 might spoil it) 141189 so...whose Mr "popular Music" now then ??? 141190 Me. I listen to Girls Aloud, watch Big Brother, eat at Macdonalds and buy King Kong on DVD. I'm about as elitist as Chantelle tbh. But she'd agree that chart stuff is mostly shite.

Basing nomenclature upon the content of the meal is insanity. I often have a 'fried breakfast' at 7pm. That doesn't make it breakfast, it's my tea. Similarly, whatever you eat at midday is your dinner. And anyone who says different isn't a Geordie (and should be stripped of their honarararary Geordieness).
