  1. Get the impression people think Tiote, Sissoko, Anita & Gosling will do and the money should go on a striker.
  2. I'm surprised Pardew didn't call a press conference the way he's been putting him in the shop window.
  3. We can afford not to blink on this one. The pressure from the fans for them to buy is huge, and they've got £180m sat in the bank. Tell them not to make any more offers unless they're going to pay £30m. Not that it will do us any fucking good whatsoever, Ashley still hasn't spent the £35m [/LM]
  4. Newcastle have no such concerns and have announced the offer as soon as possible in the hope of prompting a bidding war.
  5. Ignore Ben Arfa then. I think fatigue comes into play for Cabaye with 3 months injured on the back of 2 full seasons and his first major summer tournament.
  6. http://www.eplindex.com/36162/dirtiest-players-season-opta-stats-comparison.html#comments Following the discussion last season on what a liability Tiote is.
  7. Bit touchy there Tom. "STOP GETTING BOND WRONG!" #accidentalparteidge
  8. None of the leeway Ben Arfa is afforded, coming back from the groin strain as he was?
  9. This article is interesting. Suggests the view of Cabaye performing worse might be one of perception...and hightened expectations... http://www.eplindex.com/epl-news/36702/newcastle-afford-lose-cabaye-stats-show-cabaye-improvement.html The perceptible difference for me last season, when he saw the ball, was his shooting from out of the box which rarely seemed to hit the target.
  10. http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?284829-The-shadow-of-Gus-Poyet-hangs-over-Brighton&p=5881017&viewfull=1#post5881017 He seems more trouble than he's worth. Enjoyed this article though, which recognises the good and the bad... http://thetwounfortunates.com/17124/
  11. Exchange one Pob headed c*nt for another?
  12. Aren't they exactly the same as the gates in the tunnel out under the Leazes/Milburn corner?
  13. ..and PSG had to come from behind to equalise in the dying minutes. The kind of game that gives us hope tonight.
  14. Ben Arfa didn't start any of those games ....or the four nowt at Man City. The fat fuck is carrying all my hopes and dreams.
  15. ..and they've learned from that I'm sure
  16. He only played a third of the season 2 years back.....and i could have been one of our best players last season
  17. I'm not happy with the transfer window so far, but I think the wailing and gnashing of teeth over this game is a bit ott. We'll likely get beat, but we put in performances at Man u and Spurs last season that show we can sometimes turn up at top clubs and not be embarrassed. So they beat us 4 nowt last time? Elliot, Obertan, Simpson, Perch, Gosling and Bigirimana played that day. Think we can put up a much better performance tonight.

  19. Aye, congratulations. She must have the patience of a saint.
  20. Where would you place the bar on earnings alone, to separate working and middle class? Range Number of taxpayers £4,745 to £6,000 1,440,000 £6,000 to £7,000 1,160,000 £7,000 to £8,000 1,590,000 £8,000 to £10,000 2,950,000 £10,000 to £12,000 2,760,000 £12,000 to £15,000 3,650,000 £15,000 to £20,000 4,950,000 £20,000 to £30,000 6,000,000 £30,000 to £50,000 4,090,000 £50,000 to £70,000 859,000 £70,000 to £100,000 410,000 £100,000 to £200,000 300,000 £200,000 to £500,000 89,000 £500,000 to £1 million 16,000 Over £1 million 6,000 If we're splitting it into three equally sized groups, then of the 30 million tax payers in the country, the bottom ten million earn £12,000 or less, the middle ten million earn up to £30,000 and the top ten million earn more than that. Even if you try to make a pyramid of pay, it's very difficult to say tou're working class if you earn more than £20k... Range Number of taxpayers £4,745 to £20,000 18,500,000 £20,000 to £50,000 10,090,000 £50,000 to £1000000 1,680,000
  21. The above are my phone podcasts. The ones I listen to straight away when they come out. There were more, but don't find the time regularly to listen to that many, so I also have my tablet podcasts which are for easy listening any time down the line, for an all day decorating job, or something. Basically consists of the radio 4 podcast library...in our time, desert island discs, More or Less...
