He should spend the week compiling a video reel of all the horror tackles and unpunished incidents of the last couple of seasons. Then turn up, ask for them to dim the lights and run the video. DeJong's tackle, caption: "UNPUNISHED", etc etc. Then when the lights go up, he's no longer in the room. Case presented. And like that....he's gone. With a Christian Bale/Batman voice-over. Probably better with a Kevin Spacey/Kyser Soze voice tttt.

Is it a Fifa rule or an FA rule that if the ref fucks up and goes soft on a filthy challenge it can't be looked at again?

The Premier League's dirtiest players
Happy Face replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'll bet that Rene Higuita reeks. -
I said it was vicious. Just looking at his face you could see he wanted to do him, the demons were back and there was a lot more behind it than some of the pathetic taps we've seen players sent off for when they make contact above the neck. He wanted to lay into him but i think he actually pulled his punch as he threw it. In the end, I agree it was more Joey Deacon than Joey barton though, aye.

That's what everyone was spunking over before last night. As long as he's learned not to do it 6 yards out.

So league cup doesn't count? Just read .com on it. Champion.

Listened to In Utero on the way home from work last night. Lovely strings on All Apologies.

that was a weak punch. nothing at all ..... Aye. You'd have been going batshit if (for example) Cattermole had done it last week and stayed on the park.
-
Daft to suggest it was nowt. He gave him a vicious dig. I can't see how Pederson said anything, with Barton jogging past like that. Could only have been reacting to the light brush he gave him....which is fucking mental really.

Just been looking at the disciplinary table. No surprise Arsenal have the worse discipline in the league, whatever bollocks Wenger spouts about needing protection for his players. http://www.premierleague.com/page/Statistics

Aye, fucking daft the booing like. Worse was the kids in the corner kicking shit out of the seats trying to smash them up. We pay for those seats you bell-ends.

Prefer polos I didn't like how narrow we were last night. I know it's been highlighted as the key to our success against Arsenal away, but they play on the floor and we had to stifle them. It had the opposite effect of playing into Blackburns hands though cos they found it far easier to contain us and keep up their energy levels for closing down having not been stretched at all. I think Guttierez, having had a season or two looking like our most willing player looks like a bit-part player amongst the rejuvinated squad at the moment, full of energy as most of them have been. Even last night when the whole team looked lethargic again, when you'd expect him to rise to the top again with his biggest selling point....his running, he just kept cutting in and walking straight into Blackburn's hands. Perhaps it was the plan to just win set pieces, but Barton's delivery wasn't what it has been so we couldn't capitalise on that. If Barton can play on Saturday put him in the middle and have routledge & Guttierez bombing the wings.

You mean "living"? No those loans are to live on, housing and such. Fees are on top.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched
Happy Face replied to Jimbo's topic in General Chat
Anyone watched film 2010 with Claudia Winkleman? I've hardly watched it since Wossy started cos he talks shite. Thought it would be just as bad with her but i caught a bit of it this week and apart from being a lovely bit of fluff she's got the Guardian (I think) film critic on as a co-host and it seemed like a really good balance. I pressed the yellow button to record the series, give it a go. -
The tories "cut cut cut" policy applies to both spending and taxes. It's a more balanced approach than Labours "spend spend spend" without the tax increases that need to go hand in hand with that in order to pay for it and to counteract tory tax cuts that have seen the top rate halved in the last few decades.

I get the impression some of these students wer playing up for the cameras.

That assumes Barton is available......or does the panel only convene on a Monday morning? I'm sure they'll make an exception for Barton and nufc. If Mascherano can punch Beckford in the back of the head I don't see why Barton shouldn't get away with patting Pedersen on the chest.

This. I haven't watched any Fulham games this season so I'm not sure how they play. Here's hoping it's nothing like Blackburn because that was frankly atrocious. Tiote out, but I'd guess that Barton will still be available even if there is a late charge brought against him by the FA. I'd guess Barton will move into the middle and Routledge will be back on the right wing. Tiote's available, isn't he? Last night was only his 4th yellow He was booked in the league cup versus Chelsea

As much as i like the idea he's scored 10 Premier League goals in less than 10 games, the truth is it's taken him 34 games.... 06/07 - 4 Premier league games - 0 goals 07/08 - 4 Premier league games - 0 goals 08/09 - 14 Premier league games - 3 goals 10/11 - 12 Premier league games - 7 goals

Give over man. Imagine it was a Rovers player who had done the same to one of our players, we'd all be furious. He's had too many chances and if it wasnt for football, im sure he'd be in a similar position to his brother, who's doing life imprisonment for murdering that black student. It all comes down to whats more important, stopping thugs having any place in football OR having a good player in your team and enjoying success; and unfortunately the latter seems to be more important to most of us, including myself. I hope to God that he doesnt ever get an England call up and i really hope we can replace him with a better player sooner rather than later. Im all for reformation but this cunt takes the biscuit. He's given someone a dig in a chest so this old chestnut comes out again? I've slated the bell-end as much as anyone. He should have been sent off, deserves a ban. But it happens in game after game with other players.

Aye, the one good album they did.

In hindsight was relegation good for the club?
Happy Face replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
We've currently got the same owner and the same squad as we would have had we stayed up if you ask me and we're not realisticly going to maintain this position. The one difference i think is Shearer might have kept his job, but even that''s debateable. Relegation was nowhere near as good for the club as losing the 1990 play-off was. That led to change from top to bottom that took us into the champions league, when we could have floundered for decades like the Mackems. Cue Leazes....
