***Official Mike Ashley Euro express thread***

A cleaner? Spurs sure do make them work for their money. Can see him now running round Harrys place, dyson in one hand can of Mr Sheen in the other -
Where's your proof? Your'e the one arguing the point, where's your proof to the contrary? I didn't say I had any. I just don't get the impression that he's that hands-on, and that he instead lets Charnley and Llambias and the like just get on with certain things, such as tributes to ex-players. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows. You're the one cynical enough to use even this to have a go at Ashley. Cringe-worthy.

Where's your proof?

The hymn and card holding is way over the top imo. I think the scarf, minutes silence, then fans deciding to sing or applaud would have been fitting. I fucking hate orchestrated shite like this. It's feels a bit like that for me too. Maybe it's my ingrained distrust of Mike Ashley but it seems like a bit of cheap point scoring with the fans I'm pretty sure Ashley does not make every decision at the club.

Why is Steven Taylor not on the list?
-
Rather hear "King Kenny" than them calling Fowler "God".

I get the impression that Leazes suffers from split personality disorder. Leazes = CT?

Or our Sunderland contingent.

CT, CT's other accounts, and a couple of WUMs.

http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20111130/united-announce-plans-for-speed-tribute_2281670_2532695 All that plus chants throughout the match should be pretty moving. I'm not going to the game but I'd quite like a copy of that programme. -

Atmosphere should be something else. Early kick-off, sold out stadium, emotional tributes to Speed, club on a high. I usually don't like making predictions like I did above but I've just got a feeling it'll be a special day for the fans. -

How much did they pay Porto in compensation again? -
Staggered by this post quite frankly. I know people, especially younger people concoct a view when they don't really have one, but he's probably still hanging there at 3pm on Sunday while the police and forensic people are on the scene, and that arsehole is debating the morality of suicide and whether selfishness comes in to it. 6 hours after he's done it, well thank god I was brought up with decency, and I appreciate not everyone else is, but thank god I am. He said one questionable word amongst many positive ones tbh. Some people see the word 'selfish' and deem it to be offensive. Which is their pregorative but I too find it somewhat baffling that people overreact to it so much. It's just a somewhat ignorant comment and if anything is selfish it's the act, not the person. It's a type of selfishness that you can't really blame anyone for, especially if it was fuelled by depression. Just the act, which is what Barton was talking about. What he shouldn't have done however, is said it at all. Especially on the day the man died. It's something to debate, if he has to, when some time has passed. Even if he wasn't looking to offend anyone, which he inadvertently has done. He's also reacted very poorly to the backlash.

Chelsea sound awful on the radio tonight. I really fancy us to win and I'll be disappointed if we don't. -
Well I wasn't disagreeing or agreeing with that. I think it's a subjective thing is all, and it's not factually 'wrong' to clap instead. I prefer a minutes silence, personally.

Cardiff 2 up. Kean finished, surely.

Chelsea sound really poor. Bodes well for the weekend.

Steve Claridge is an awesome co-commentator. So scathing and critical. Fair play to him.
