One glimmer of hope is the small chance we'll replace Carver with someone fresh in the Summer. No guarantee it'll work out, but at least I'll be able to look forward to seeing some new ideas, tactically etc. Carver just feels like a continuation of Pardew.

Are we really trying to cut corners when there's more money for PL clubs than ever before? It's not like Santon has been angling for a move either, which you could say MYM was.

I'm pretty sure PSG and Arsenal don't actually want him, as much as he's trying to sell himself through the media.

Wouldn't be surprised if we spend all summer supposedly searching for a head coach, only to give it to Carver again the week before the transfer window closes.

Surely they'll still be working behind the scenes? Surely they'll try to get someone in to start as soon as the season finishes, giving him a whole summer to integrate himself into the place and with the (new and old) players? This fucking club.

Chronicle has been awful the past couple of weeks.

Only way he won't get the job on a permanent basis is if he gets us relegated. Keeping us up will be seen as fulfilling his target, and he'll be rewarded with a new contract. Would love to be proven wrong in the summer, assuming he does get the job till May. Season is a write-off as far as I'm concerned.
