  1. Thanks chums. Even failing to beat the mighty Burnley hasn't dampened my day.
  2. Happy birthday my fellow FIFA love/hater. As an aside, where's my birthday thread?! Outrageous.
  3. It's a bit of a joke, really. In my defence I only ever spend real money occasionally on limited rare player packs and the like. Still a waste of money. Could do with finding a an elite player who I could sell for a million, that'd set me up for the rest of the year.
  4. Spent £8 to get two all-rare Premium gold packs tonight. Got Cheilini (I have a Bundesliga and Spanish/La Liga sides, so he's gone straight on to the transfer list anyway) and Thomas Muller out of them which isn't too bad, but can't help but feel a little guilty for some reason. £8 seems a lot to spend on mostly nothing, really.
  5. I'm div 5 and I swear 9 out of 10 UT teams I face have at least two players of Aguero/Di Maria quality or better. I think my best player is Benzema who is worth only about 60k. Gets a little annoying - I don't have time/money to devote to getting ridiculously good players - but doesn't by any means make them unbeatable.
  6. Fuck knows why, it's not like we're both currently battling relegation and desperate for points. Should have gone for it, especially knowing each team was missing a few key players. Then again, was always going to be a 1-0 with the managers in charge.
  7. Not sure we do to be honest. Decent keeper distribution is an underrated quality - a great way to launch attacks, but a fatal flaw if you're not good at it and keep giving the ball back to the opposition. I love seeing keepers with a good throw picking out a fullback and springing a counter-attack.
  8. Far too inconsistent for my liking. I don't think he's a solid back-up, unfortunately. That Darlow has shipped a fair few goals this season too for Forest, worryingly.
  9. Agreed. If a player can only operate - to an adequate level - in very specific conditions, then he's a problem. I think it's a bit easy to just blame it on the managers being thick, or on the English "defence first game" (Isn't that the Italian game? I thought the English game was known for being fast, aggressive and often end to end?). I think he's a quality player, but I also think there's a reason he's never played for a top club. Or several reasons. And even at top clubs, you see players like Rooney putting in a shift when off the ball. He's a luxury clubs like ourselves and Hull can't really afford, unless we unbalance the team to play to his strengths. He's 28 in a few months. He'll end up in France next season, he'll do well in an inferior league but he'll sadly never reach the heights his talent could have taken him.
  10. Didn't watch the game (thankfully) - where did Sissoko play, position-wise? Please tell me he wasn't moved around to accommodate Gouffran?
  11. Let's not pretend Cabella has been great in comparison.
  12. Wasn't worried about myself, just wasn't sure if Mrs Zanetti would prefer sitting in a quieter area. My first ever visit to Germany. Appreciate all the advice. As for the weather, sounds like there might be a bit of snow by the time I get there too. Should be class at the markets if so, as long as it's not stupid/sludgy amounts.
  13. Which are the neutral blocks, if you know? Cheers
  14. Got my Berlin trip in just over 2 weeks - had a look at Hertha's fixtures around that weekend on a whim and turns out they're playing Dortmund. Tickets appear to be available so I'm more than a little tempted... to those that are going or have been, where would you recommend sitting? Don't want to be with the ultras, wouldn't mind a decent view, and will be with the missus.
  15. Yet to have any luck with packs, myself...
