  1. Add to the coaching staff. Bring in a dedicated attackimg coach, even if it it means breaking up the old boys club of Stone, Carver and Pardew himself. West Ham brought Sheringham in in the summer and he seems to have done some good, looking at their recent performances. Redknapp brought Hoddle to QPR at the same time too, so there's no shame in admitting you could do with a little extra help behind the scenes.
  2. Players looked a lot more up for it today than last time. How you can say there was no enthusiasm out there today is beyond me.
  3. We had a fair few chances in the first half and I don't think we lumped it forward too much either. Pardew made some questionable decisions but I don't think we played that badly tbh. I'm more disappointed than angry because unlike the last time I don't think they deserved to win the game. We didn't look great defending counters and I had a feeling they might nick one on on the counter, as proved to be the case. Controversial but I wish we'd just committed a 'tactical' foul when they launched that counter they scored from, especially as we were down a defensive midfielder.
  4. Really hope Bianca wins it - mostly so Mark doesn't.
  5. Cabella has been such a disappointment, even if he's not been given much of a chance.
  6. Bench is a bit shit, mind. To say the least. A few injuries, and we're left with this? Woodman, Satka, Streete, Anita, Roberts, Vuckic, Armstrong
  7. Nothing massively wrong with that starting 11 tbh.
  8. Definitely watching this on Sunday. Documentary following Robbie Elliot on his bike ride to each of Sir Bobby's clubs. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/news/9609164/former-newcastle-and-england-boss-robson-remembered-in-8216once-more-for-bobby8217
  9. Didn't go! Couldn't fit it in our timeframe and all the cheap tickets seemed to have gone anyway. If I was with a mate we'd have found a way but I was with my missus who's only got a passing interest in football (she was fairly up for this to be fair) so I didn't really push it after a certain point. Had we'd gone we'd have missed out on a few things that day which I'd honestly rather do now looking back. Dead on our feet by the time we got back to the hotel each night but it was well worth it. Went to loads of museums (loved the interactivity and feel of the DDR Museum, and the Jewish museum is probably the best museum I've ever been to), Christmas markets (glad we went now rather than wait till Summer although we'd have gone to Potsdam and the like if we had), restaurants and pubs. Did all the obvious stuff like the East Side Gallery, Reichstag, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church, cathedral, Checkpoint Charlie, TV Tower, Bernauer Strasse, Holocaust Memorial etc. Loved the architecture for the most part. Our hotel was in Alexanderplatz and was spot on location-wise, and in general. As a side note, I doubt I'll see as many Italian restauarants as I did in Berlin without going to Italy itself. We had a pizza in one, L'Osteria (next to Bikini Berlin and some hotel) which was great if a little on the huge side.
  10. Back now - gutted. What a wonderful city Berlin is.
  11. Just about to leave for Berlin. Pwopa excited.
  12. https://metro.co.uk/2014/12/04/borussia-dortmund-stars-try-to-make-it-up-to-their-suffering-fans-by-pouring-pints-4974238/ That's fucking class
  13. Hold on to half time and we'll come in to this. Easier said than done.
