Loving this El Clasico.

Start another match, race into a 2-0 lead and get disconnected during the replay for the second goal. Absolutely done for the night, their servers are all over the place and I'd rather not get punished for EA's ineptitude when I'm winning a game (can't exactly expect them to have a system in place that only punishes losing quitters and the like, but still).

So I play this guy on UT, outplay him, 4-1 up going into the 90th minute. He decides to have 2 pause breaks, I'm assuming to wind me up in some weird sort of revenge for beating him (since it would have been quicker to just let the game finish). Seconds after we get back into gameplay in injury time, I'm disconnected from EA's servers and I get given the game as a loss. This after I foolishly spent about £12 on FIFA Points that went towards jumbo packs that once again gave me nothing exciting (yes I know that's the luck of the draw, but I never seem to get anything out of these things). Fucking infuriating.

Relegation six-pointer.

Thanks again Cath (and by association Meenz). Anywhere in particular you'd recommend Gloom? Quite open-minded, just nothing too loud/clubby as it's just me and the missus. Open to restuarant recommendations too, be they traditional or otherwise (we'll be spending a lot of time in the markets anyway). Cheers.

There is so much I dislike about this game. As you may have gathered. It's fundamentally broken in some aspects, if you ask me. I'm more or less comfortable with the defending now but I really don't like the focus on pace and the fact that online games feel so... samey? And the goals - a third of them are finesses shots across the keeper, a third are hard shots into the corners and a third (or maybe more) are the immensely unsatisfying tap-ins. 14, at the end at least (to be fair these games go through multiple revisions gameplay-wise as they get patched) felt pretty balanced aside from the overpowered heading (which they've actually managed to fix in 15). I'll admit I'm getting considerably worse results on this as of late than I was on 14 after a while which doesn't help my opinion. So many draws, or late losses when opponents pile on the running at your tired defence with their pacey striker tactic.

Making all employees pay for tickets to supposedly make it a 'level playing field' has some logic behind it, whilst still being something i'm totally against. Making club legends pay for tickets is appalling.

Hang on, he pays for a ticket?

Gone with Berlin in the end, as there's so much to do on top of the markets. Can't wait. Any suggestions of the less obvious variety? Cheers
-
Not the first time I've heard someone call Vienna dull, but then we're only going to be there for the weekend really... If that would help I don't know. Berlin I'd probably go with were it not for the fact that we were considering it for a summer holiday next year... And thanks so far, chums.

Looking to go on a long weekend in a couple of months for a winter/Christmas break with the missus. Reckon we're narrowed our options down to Vienna, Berlin, Prague and Cologne. Any of you got any suggestions? Cheers!

Couldn't we wait till the end of the season? I can't see his value dropping massively, more than likely it'd get higher. Good times for the guy himself though, couldn't have worked out much better given the circumstances. Playing in a good league, for a great Champions League club, with a manager who knows what he can do. Given his choices were stay with us or play for decent but not spectacular French clubs for much of the window, I'd say he's done alright for himself.

Seeing as we looked a little better with two up top for the latter part of the game yesterday, what are the chances Pardew might give it another shot in the next game? I'm going with not a chance, even though our next game is at home against a newly promoted side.- 10610 replies
