  1. Probably the latter. I watched Cabella (and Montpellier) against Monaco the other day and he did look good. Would be pleasantly surprised if this one went through. Need a striker more though. Dream semi-realistic scenario is Cabella and de Jong in and no-one else out.
  2. Hate films that go on too long. 2 hours and no more if you ask me. Gravity was a refreshing hour and a half.
  3. He ditched a press conference, not training. As far as I know.
  4. Singleplayer DLC out on the 14th. Made a comment on Eurogamer about how I'm looking forward to it, and that I'll be renting a copy of the game to play it as I sold mine a while back. Apparently that's enough reason to get 'negged'. MY LIFE IS RUINED
  5. Don't know if it's just me but the refs on this give some terrible advantage calls. Lost count of the amount of times I've been given advantage, push forward, keep possession and the twatting ref pulls it back for no reason at all.
  6. Because people might have made arrangements?
  7. Few years back, Ryan Taylor was part of the N'Zogbia deal.
  8. Given the amount of players we'll probably lose in the summer (Cabaye, Colo, Cisse, Ameobi, Gutierrez, Obertan, Marveaux etc), all the more reason to invest in some new talent now, to give them a good half-season to integrate.
  9. True Detective episode was superb. Loved the atmosphere. So dark.
  10. I imagine our business is done once we bring De Jong in on loan. Two loan signings from two transfer windows. Probably about £3-4m spent on loan fees total. Thanks, Joe.
  11. Benteke is really poor nowadays. Shades of Cisse about his shocking form.
  12. Of all the things that happened yesterday (not just in our match), that's the big story they're going with on the back page? Jesus wept.
  13. Should have been a red for MYM and Cabaye was extremely lucky not to walk. Reading a lot of clever Man City fan's opinions tonight who agree our goal should have stood but also say the ref should have then go on to send two of our lot off, as if our equaliser standing would have had no consequence on the rest of the game.
  14. 176 posts of this. I can only imagine he thinks he's being successful in winding us up.
  15. Didn't realise Southampton are only 3 points behind us now. Really need to start picking up points, big gap now between us and the top 6, and a bigger gap thankfully between us/Southampton and midtable.
  16. Wonder if the policy is 1-2 new players a year, but every sold player to be replaced (within reason). I don't get why they'd put a limit on it at all though. Managers should simply bring in who they need, if the club can afford it. With that said - I could live with 1-2 players a window (not a year) if I felt the squad was deep enough. A club like Chelsea don't need to go out and get loads of new players because their squad is so deep as it is. They can pick and choose 1-2 new players who will really add something, whereas a club like Man Utd needs several changes and will probably get them within the next window or 2. To be honest I don't think Kinnear has any integrity so I don't really trust a word the man says, even if it's via official club publications.
  17. Come on man Pellegrini, you'd get a fair bit of credit for admitting the ref got that one wrong. Bit of honesty never goes amiss.
  18. Yup. They weren't a big club pre-takeover. Albeit I say that as a member of the 'Sky generation' due to my age. They've bought their success and as such I don't really have any respect or admiration for them as a club, although I do like watching them play.
