  1. Got a horrible feeling Boro are going to go up this season. Such a nothing club that added little to the Premier League.
  2. Another poor day of football from our perspective. Sounds like Spurs were woeful for most of that match too, typical.
  3. Yeah. Whenever I get beaten, I almost never feel like I've been outplayed. I can't seem to lose by more than one goal, and if I'm beaten by 2 he's scored another in injury time or something.
  4. Monaco were really disappointing. Cabella looked decent: worked fairly hard, pacey, skillful, and best of all a definite team player.
  5. Must be pretty boring if you've got your phone out in the middle of the cinema to tell us the above.
  6. Sidney Sam off to Schalke in the summer. Draxler off then, surely?
  7. They do have a pretty horrendous injury situation, to be fair.

  9. Thought it was less than that, even with Europa League goals included. He's come into a bit of consistent form recently like I said, but aside from that has seemed pretty inconsistent (largely because of the their system, injuries etc, like Jonny said). I don't doubt he's a good player, he's on his way to proving himself to be a top level striker, just perhaps not there yet.
  10. Wonder if his mates down the pub hear about it off him too.
  11. I don't want to be that guy who patronises and suggests we all wait till the end of the window before judging the club (and SSN), but I am going to be that guy who patronises and suggests we all wait till the end of the window before judging the club (and SSN) safety
  12. To be fair he's been pretty indifferent since he's joined them. Missed a few games, to be fair. Scored 3-4 recently so he's getting better but still got a lot to prove (doing well in the Eredivisie doesn't mean a lot these days sadly).
  13. I imagine Stevie T has already got his agent on the lookout for future acting/modeling work, should his football career go south any time soon.
  14. @@Monkeys Fist Where's the photo (in finest CT style)?
  15. They're already on a good cup run in the League Cup. Doesn't seem to have done their league form much favours.
  16. Celtic ended up winning 4-0. Such a pointless league. I don't know why their players bother even celebrating goals any more. Where's the sense of pride in winning a league like they will year after year (even when Rangers make it back)? They've got nothing going for them but Champions League football, and I imagine that and the promise of regular first team football is about all they can offer new players (none of whom are anything special).
  17. Yes, it's a pretty sad reality if you ask me. But that's modern day football for you. Premier League football is worth so much money nowadays, and the Championship to its credit is a very competitive league that few sides will bounce back up from with minimal effort.
  18. Abysmal idea. Sorry. There's very few chances for clubs to give their younger/reserve players a decent run-out outside of an injury crisis - or a cup game. Makes perfect sense to give them a game alongside their more experienced colleagues against weaker opposition.
  19. Lambert and West Ham are fighting for their lives in the league, and have injuries to deal with. Sad truth is that they'd always swap a decent run in the cup for staying up, and financially who can blame them? As for us, Pardew put out a decent side yesterday that just didn't turn up, whereas I don't know if Ashley himself is the one disrespecting the cup. I know the minutes from that fans forum thing suggested the cups weren't a priority, but to be honest I still view them with a pinch of salt knowing how easy it could be to twist things just a little.
  20. To be perfectly honest - we didn't put a weak team. A weaker team maybe (partly down to injuries), but that side last night should have beaten Cardiff. I looked at the starting 11 and the only obvious weak link for me was Cisse - and he scored. I'm not happy with the result and I now wished we'd started with Remy and put out the best side possible, but I think this was more a case of us simply not turning up on the day and putting in a performance for 90 minutes. Against a side with the new manager effect, no less.
  21. They're fighting for their lives in the league, have a horrendous injury crisis, and are in the League Cup semi. We didn't have such excuses.
  22. Newton and Campbell playing against Celtic at the moment, Sky Sports 1. Not that they've been on the ball much.
  23. Saw American Hustle last night, easy 9/10. Also, I still love Amy Adams
