  1. Fully deserves to go with them IMO. They'd be mad not to take him.
  2. Just watching the extended highlights of the Wolves game there, for their disallowed goal ASM is sprinting back to defend from their half all the way to our goal pretty much. I really do get the feeling he's trying to be the best player he can be - not just a lazy flair player.
  3. At least that rumour can fuck off now Clearly we were never interested.
  4. Agree that Burn absolutely does not deserve dropping but it might just be a case of rotation, especially if we expect to give the cups a decent run. As we are set up at the moment, we have 4 good options across 3 positions in defence. Surely we can make that work.
  5. Aye, sorry mate. Poor things. Sounds like you did everything you could for them.
  6. I also don't begrudge him the move. Howe doesn't fancy him at all, that's been clear since January tbh. He may as well get on with his career elsewhere.
  7. The only thing that would concern me if it was us, is why we've let this run on as long as we have. What was making us unsure about him?
  8. Sunderland would have never celebrated that man. They'd have been hounding out their manager in outrage. This started off in my head as a sarcastic comment but on the second sentence I started to think it might actually be the truth
  9. The comments under some of these videos are interesting mind - people who've watched him at other clubs, or for Sweden. Sounds like he's very much work in progress - a player who can do a lot of things right up until the final moment and then struggles to finish potentially. Maybe Wilson can help him work on that though since he has such an instinct for it. Also sounds like he needs to have a very creative player (Odegaard was mentioned a lot as part of the reason he's done so well in the season before last) around him to get the most out of him, so that hunt for our attacking midfielder may still be an important one. Seems fairly versatile though and clearly has very good technique. Let's hope Howe can round him out as a player.
  10. Shouldn't worry too much, it's not like Liverpool are racking up cricket scores against people.
  11. Not bad but the injuries are starting to be a concern. A well earned point though, and could have had all 3.
  12. Howay lads, let's not fall out over Man Utd.
  13. He doesn't have the personality to become famous, he's not interesting enough. He can maybe work on that and try to find some kind of niche but I can only ever see kids thinking he's kinda cool, and only while he's about that age. Once he looks less 'youthful' himself that appeal will wear off and he'll just look like that guy who does Sunderlands vids. That's my prediction anyway
  14. Where is Essembee anyway? Now that we're actually moving forward he's finally given up on the club?
  15. Aye but he's not Pocchetino or Guardiola, and that's the level of manager they should be looking marra. They were promoted from league one last season man, one of the few teams with over 40k fans to have ever managed that...
  16. Some of the replies to Mowbray being approached to takeover https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/momentum-on-tony-mowbray-getting-bigger-by-the-hour.1587624/ I don't know if he's any good or not really but it does seem as though they'd really gotten into this mindset that they were about to be a force and get promoted and so on - the responses absolutely prove this, they're fucking livid. I particularly like the ones who are claiming this is the last straw Not paying £10m for a player they didn't own, not Adam Johnson, not relegation to the championship, not subsequent relegation to League One. Not the 4 years it took them to get out, playoff final fucked up, managers cycled through, overpaying on shit players. All of that, these guys were on board with. But Tony Mowbray. I mean ffs, that's just too much. Final nail in the fucking coffin. Apparently. All ignoring of course that a year ago they'd have been fucking lucky to get him, and he is very likely 'of their level'.
  17. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/an-press-conference-cancelled.1587209/page-24 That's the thread it all mostly went down in for anyone interested. Page 24 is where IMO they shift from denial to horror.
  18. Sorry, I missed that one, Truss has come out and said the French are our enemy? What fucking planet are these morons on for fuck's sake. Putin's the enemy you daft bat, along with his payrolled assortment of right wing bellends - of whom you are quite possibly one! France have been an ally to the United Kingdom for what, about a hundred years? The Tories man. Nothing gets me angrier. The phrase 'there are no words' comes up quite casually these days but honestly that's where I am with this now. Hate, Despise, Condemn, Loathe, and so on - we just don't have words for these cunts. Even "cunt" isn't strong enough. The position I'm getting to on these despicable, contemptable, loathsome (see? it's just not enough) fuckers, is that what I really, genuinely think about them... I don't think it would be legally safe to post.
  19. Agree with this. I think we knew exactly what we were doing with the signing of Wood.
  20. It may well be that he just wants to leave Lyon and we didn't put an offer in
  21. I was 11 years old and we just signed Alan Shearer. The club could have gone bust in the process and I would still have thought it was the best window ever
  22. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong stats but Zlatan seems to have managed 35 league goals by the time he was 23. Isak is on 60.
