If you get Windows 7 Pro you can get an XP shell to run your older applications. Looks just like XP. In terms of saving the one you've got, have you already attempted a system restore back to the point before he installed everything? This can be done without evening opening Windows - if you're being BSODed then you'll likely be taken to the 'How do you want to start up your computer screen'. Choose repair from there and restore should be an option. Go back as far as you can, it's not like you'll lose any files, just some applications. Ultimately though, if it was me, I'd fix the issue at hand. Or upgrade and get the XP Shell.

Also, was just thinking regarding the transfer policy in general. I can't remember the last time we had such quality on the bench. Ben Arfa, Haidara, Taylor/MYM, etc. We're not there yet but the strength in depth is coming. The overall quality of the squad certainly feels better than it has been for some time. I thought there were concerns that if we wait till summer, he could buy himself out of the remainder of his contract for about £6m. There seems to be a rule allowing that, not that it ever seems to get used. Something to do with the age of the player when signed, and possibly if signed from overseas. If there is anything in that, then I say sell him now. If not then I agree with you - unless it means we don't get Cabella now. I actually think I'd rather get it over with now, when we're safe but aren't going to achieve anything, then we do it over the summer and realise that the team doesn't work next season.

I had a look before to see if they had any further developments. Left quickly and am in agreement about them being OTT. I still think it would make a certain kind of sense for him to go now when we have time to adapt to it for the rest of the season. We all know we're going to finish around 8th, so why not move him on and work out how we can play going forward. Better than working it out next year when we might need the points more.
