Except the thing is they've come out and said they value him at £17m... so that's the bid they'll settle on in the end. Which I still think we should reject. I note that Sky article makes mention of Cabaye's option to buy himself out of his contract in the summer. That seems to be getting mentioned a lot...
-
I never understand the point in bids like that from PSG. It's £11m short of our valuation and we know they're fucking minted. Like hell were we going to accept that.
-
£14m is derisory..
-
Yeah fair point. I guess we'll miss the penetrative passes and devasting free kicks though. Hopefully Cabella will offer us a more consistent version of what Ben Arfa does.
-
I got 4/10

I thought that you could still apply after that but that you'd end up in clearance? I remember applying and then changing my mind about what I wanted to do (initially Ancient History - then decided Chinese on an impulse ) Anyway they were fine with that - think I did that around March...
-
Hopefully we'll tell Man Utd that given their valuation of Fellaini (£28m), we want at least that for Cabaye. PSG could probably get him for £25m. And yeah, Cabella isn't the same kind of player but at the same time it'd make me feel better...
-
It really isn't... why the fuck does this happen to us right at the end of the window. I suppose it's possible that we've got Cabella ready to go if Cabaye leaves but lets be honest, it's doubtful at best. Would hate for him to go to Manure...

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/26/manchester-united-yohan-cabaye-newcastle Man Utd now as well...
-
That's a fair point - we'd need to sort that out quickly.
-
Perhaps the amount we're willing to spend on him is directly linked to the amount we receive for Cisse.
-
That's classic UEFA.

Wish we could debate our own signings instead of looking furtively at what everyone else is doing...

Agree entirely, but he's being bought to make a statement, not to improve the team. On the face of it, Man Utd might argue that there isn't much wrong with them once you bring Rooney and VP back. This is to bring the fans and media back on side I think; it's expensive, but he has resale potential - and they may be counting on cutting Rooney loose. On the other hand, I don't understand this persistent blind spot on their midfield... It's subpar, apparent to everyone except Man Utd. Successive management teams at Man Utd in fact.

Although Man Utd actually got Mata it seems... I half thought Mourinho was just fucking with them.

Double leg break for Oviedo apparently

The metro has been behind the times with this stuff for years, it's nice to see it coming up to speed. I still can't believe how long it took them to move to credit cards ffs...

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/25/mourinho-chelsea-finished-january-transfer-window Who the fuck knows with Mourinho..
-
Wtf To be honest, I didn't even think they were still going but... that's pretty sad.
-
He has, it really is a shame. Especially given it's simply down to a crappy League 2 pitch.
-
Yeah just read it was the pitch rather than a tackle or anything... really sucks that, feel for the guy. Broken leg apparently, that'll be his season over.
-
When you did have to, what did you say? Curious as to what these door to doors entail. Do you talk policy or just slander rival politicians?
-
Enjoy, sounds good

Di Canio has announced that West Ham are his destiny, in terms of management. I'm starting to feel sorry for Wham fans...
