  1. We can definitely put Norwich away playing like this.
  2. This was his actual quote: "We are a club that unfortunately at the minute, is not in a Champions League position, so therefore players can turn around to us and say they want Champions League, as Luis Suarez did with Liverpool," said Pardew. "That's the position we really need to get ourselves into this year, or definitely next year or the year beyond."
  3. Is he going to be able to handle playing in that team I wonder. Ah well though, better PSG than Man Utd. He actually could have been immense for Man U.
  4. Pardew has just said that we're planning to be challenging for Champs League in the next three years
  5. ... love your optimism man. Hope you're right!
  6. Remy and Cabaye combined have scored as many goals this season as Norwich. I'd be pretty disappointed if we didn't win this. Although they will hold us back by crowding out midfield I guess...
  7. Also, and this can't be stated enough, Norwich are awful. Hughton plays 4-5-1 which means that we've only got to worry about Hoolahan from range in terms of their goal threat. If have another half like the first against Wham, we'll put them away. Admittedly the Cabaye issue may complicate matters.
  8. Thanks, that's useful info - so we're saying that we wouldn't lose him for £6m, but between him and PSG they'd have to stump up whatever his market value was determined to be by an external panel. This might explain why PSG think they can offer fuck all for him. (£17m seems about right on the market, not taking into consideration his importance to us). Although Cabaye wouldn't have to pay for this himself according to the article..
  9. I'd agree - if it wasn't for this niggling thing about him being able to buy himself out of the contract in the summer. That's the only reason we'd sell early or cheap.
  10. We do! As an aside, we should win this comfortably, not particularly concerned.
  11. It was a study on the implications of national and organisational culture for cross cultural trading relationships in academic publishing. Needless to say, I'm glad it's over.
  12. Man I hate transfer windows... Sigh, who knows how this'll turn out.
  13. I love how sad the guy behind him looks.
  14. Yeah I didn't mean I was going anywhere in fairness, I'll check in every day, but perhaps you've noticed that I've been on here at all hours for the past 6 weeks... I think more so than anyone else on the board. Probably could do with scaling back a bit. And thanks
  15. I finally, finally, finished my motherf*cking dissertation... So I am delighted and incredibly tired. Thank you all for tolerating my increased presence on here as I used the place as a mental crutch upon which to stay sane
  16. I... I feel like the appropriate response here is :panic:
  17. I love that you guys made a CT emoticon I've just noticed that it's actually listed in the smiley bar.
  18. I reckon our transfers are like a house of cards - if someone goes, everything will start happening. We're just playing a waiting game. Or at least I hope that's what they're doing, and not just sitting there with their thumbs up their arses. EDIT - I was going to correct 'house of cards' for dominoes, but then I thought about it a bit more and realised that an inevitable, messy collapse that no one has any real control over is exactly how it'd happen at this club.
  19. Has he just said that now? Just wondering if that's the chain of events happening behind the scenes - Cabaye is getting ready to move and we've got Cabella on standby. And Montpellier want to keep him if they can. This guy is trying to get him to stay until summer so as not to suffer in his attempt to keep Montpellier up I reckon. I sympathise with that, he's basically doing what we'd want Pardew to do about Cabaye - but if he loses Cabella now, he can blame PSG.

    Gazza

Yep, same here. Assumed the worst.
  21. Ah sorry. Yeah it does appear that they're basically just unsettling him now - at the same time, he can't throw a hissy fit like last time since he needs to remain visible for the WC.
  22. As fantastic an idea as that is, I don't think Cavani would come. Do they still use Pastore? What about him?
