  1. What is he doing there though... the thing is he probably did play well, but the only thing I can remember him doing is that run from defence which immediately made me nervous as no one on the rest of the team seemed to know what was going to happen. In contrast, MYM manages to get upfield, has good control and retention, but then gets back down again when things go wrong. He can be relied upon more if he pushes up. EDIT - And Williamson just doesn't push up.
  2. Fortunately for us, Man U can't guarantee him Champs League football any more than we can.
  3. Very true but that execution was disturbing. The chemicals used are supposed to be for treating severe medical conditions; I read that it takes 100 times the dosage to kill someone than it does for treating patients. So they considered killing this guy to be worth 100 treatments to sick Americans. They're running out of drugs because the EU won't sell them any that can be used to kill people. What happens then? What about the people who need this medication? That's to say nothing of the morals of state sanctioned murder.
  4. Isn't there a similar percentage (of overall US populace) that believe they've been abducted by aliens?
  5. Yeah I'm relying on 'benefit of the doubt' way too much on here.
  6. That's got Kinnear written all over it.
  7. I quite like seeing the old threads for that reason actually. You had some proper nutters on here at one point.
  8. God you suck, I actually took the time to compliment you as well...
  9. But this would mean we're...strengthening the squad. Did we sell anyone? We're gonna sell someone aren't we. It'll be Cabaye won't it. ...
  10. ...y'know, I am actually starting to wonder if we're at least trying to make this happen.
  11. CT - Gotta say for yours as well actually, awesome theme. Did you buy it like that or "build" it yourself?
  12. Awesome tank... Good lighting too. I'd be well chuffed with that!
  13. I guess you get what you pay for then with forum packages. Still, the whole TT layout looks really professional, kudos. Also prefer the smaller community and less uptight modding on TT compared to NO. Never registered with NO but looked in a few times. Although the worst one I've ever seen for pathetic modding is RAWK. I cringe every time I look in there, people being banned for citing news sources that haven't been pre-agreed by a committee etc.
  14. Yeah but... and replace him with who? Colo and YMB are, by consensus, too similar; and that leaves Taylor. Who I reckon might be more of a liability than Williamson.
  15. Thanks, that's sated my curiosity. And you've done a really good job with the place to be honest. I recognise that old Invision board layout from the first link, it's the one I'm more familiar with (it's been a few years since I was last on a forum before this one). The place has a really high quality look to it compared to most other fan forums though (and certainly is a better layout that NO - phpbb?). Although I'm biased because I hate non Invision boards..!
  16. Ok, bit of a nosey question to the longer standing members. I was having a look the the Mod Team link on the main page and noted the Admin 'Jimbo'. He hasn't been online for 2 and a half years apparently, which is unusual in my experience for forum admins (if they quit, they usually 'resign'). Unless TT has a lifetime membership policy for the Mod Team anyway. Just wondered if there was anything of interest behind that - I should mention that I find forums very interesting due to the extended community histories that can build up. Also, and I can't stress this enough, I'm really nosey.
  17. I don't really understand how Liverpool failed to beat Villa tbh. I know they came back and all but this is Villa. They should be beating them 3 or 4 nil.
  18. I wonder if it's all to do with perception (possibly massively oversimplifying it though). If we were of the same status as Man City, playing as well as we were, the other teams wouldn't come out in the second half like they tend to against us currently, it'd be more measured and cautious. Because teams kind of feel like they should be beating us, they have that belief. I'd also argue that this is why the floor at Old Trafford gave way this season. Other teams aren't expecting to lose.
  19. What the fuck is going on at Anfield. "Title Challengers"
  20. You must be pleased anyway! Fantastic result, that.
  21. Who on earth is in charge of Bolton? You'd think it was Allardyce...
  22. Yeah! I think that really made the difference this time. I could feel it.
  23. Our next two games look eminently winnable as well.
  24. Due to their respective cup runs, Sunderland now have 4 games in the next ten days; the final one against us
