1. Leazes, what is your point? I acknowledge that some extremists have been accused of making a chemical device (whatever that might be), and that we will find out more about it in due course. Who am I defending? Once again, how am I like Chemical Ali? Please enlighten me. Now, you were complaining that it was the work of foreigners or illegal immigrants. Please verify where you have got this information, I'm interested. Unless of course you mean that all asian people are foreigners, regardless of citzenship, which is what I suspect. You know, I'm beginning to think that complicated issues like this might be beyond your comprehension, you seem to be having difficulty translating your obvious sense of outrage into any coherent argument. Now, can you just clearly an unambiguously state what you think should be done, for instance, do you think we should have enforced repatriation? Othewise there's little point in discussing things, is there?
2. This is now an unacceptable way to get your information. 144544 Well Leazes was his best mate, obviously.
3. We will see if this bomb is planted by a Briton or not first eh ? Which if it goes off somewhere, will mean people possibly dead at the hands of someone who shouldn't be here. Then what ? Whats YOUR solution ? 144521 Firstly, as far as I can make out, no bomb was planted. Secondly, the suspects sound like they ARE British: Thirdly, as far as I am aware, the only islamic terrorists that have successfully operated in this country were British (7/7 bombings). Leazes Mag, toontastic's very own Enoch Powell. 144532 Renton, toontastics own chemical/comical Ali, who thinks the country is not in danger from an unseen enemy, so defends them for all he's worth 144535 FFS, I'm not defending anyone. You, on the other hand, have yet again demonstrated your complete inability to read. How am I like Chemical Ali again Leazes? Do you even know who this person is? 144537 Do you know who Enoch Powell was, or have you just read about him ? If you think this country isn't fighting a war against a dangerous unseen enemy and not protecting ourselves properly, you go ahead and delude yourself mate. 144539 Yes, I know who Enoch Powell was, unlike you, who obviously don't know who Chemical Ali was. As these suspects are likely to be british, are you proposing to send the entire asian population "back home", much like Enoch Powell?
4. They worked alright in Iraq, right ? No good pretending the technology couldn't be perfected, rather than bury your head in the sand. 144538 High spec chemical weapons were used effectively in Iraq to kill an immobilised civilian population. Guns or even clubs would have been just as effective in this situation. Home-made chemicals are unlikely to be much of a threat - home-made explosives are much easier to make and much more effective. That's why they are being used by terrorists throughout the world. Btw Leazes, as the vast majority of terrorist suspects in this country are realeased without charge, it might be an idea to wait and see what happens in this case before jumping the gun with your usual right wing bollocks.

7. I actually heard a spider crossing my floorboards the other day, it was that big. You would have shat yourself.
8. Mountain of muscle me. Anyway, these weight threads are gay, remember.
9. And yet I weigh less than you and have a lower BMI. Hmmm.
10. That always intrigues me when they super size all the fat shit and then ask for Diet Coke !!! A bloke who used to work with me was about 32 stone, had asthma and needed walking sticks to get around, whilst in the canteen he would always get double portions of everything and then a can of diet Coke ??? 143445 Never knew you worked with Gemmill? Has to be said coke is pretty fattening though, it's probably the easiest thing for a fatso to substitute. Like Gemmill does.
11. I might well be wrong but I don't think there is a difference between the two. Both are irrational fears, usually triggered by unpleasent memories (sometimes subconciuos) of past events, which manifest themselves as physical symptoms. Mind, I'm inclined to take a lot of psychology with a large pinch of salt.
12. Do you actually know what a phobia is and how they are triggered? 143422 How predictable was that btw? Edit: FFS.
13. Sweating, heart rate soaring, palpitations, nausea, just generally shitting myself, especially on take off. I've flown so much recently I'm really not bothered any more. Also sussed out alcohol and benzos DON'T help. 143404 I get that on the Metro 143417 aww I pretty much get all those symptoms if im in an enclosed space or i look down from a tall building, even on the London underground i felt paniky Is it because you had to fly often that you have got over your fears now Renton? 143421 Pretty much so I think. I fly between 6 and 12 times a year and it's pretty hard to feel anxious about it all the time.....

15. Sweating, heart rate soaring, palpitations, nausea, just generally shitting myself, especially on take off. 143404 Sounds no different to how I imagine you at the match. Weird what different people are scared of like. I don't think I've got any real phobias other than work. 143407 I'm scared of dying and flying brings this thought to the front of my mind.
16. Personally I find the short-haul domestic flights the worst of the worst. From experience I've found a as a general rule, the further you're travelling, the more comfortable and more relaxed I feel... 143387 Personally I have to say that really is utter bollocks. The further you go the longer you are on the metal tube of death. 143390 Absolute horse-shit! Do Southampton to Edinburgh in a BAE 1-11 and then tell me a Boeing is worse! Further you go, the bigger the plane and therefore the smoother the journey. I bet you're one of these freaks who reckons a Fiat Panda offers the same comfort as a Bentley, aren't you Renton? 143402 I wasn't talking about tiny planes Mr Nerdgeek. But personally I'd much rather fly to Rome, say, in an Easyjet 737, than fly trans-Atlantic in a 767 in economy class. The difference being about 6 hours.

From experience I've found a as a general rule, the further you're travelling, the more comfortable and more relaxed I feel... 143387 thought we' d got off my flying fears!! I suppose it wouldnt really matter if its a short flight, once im up there, infact, i was told the short haul flights use rattley small planes 143391 Get a 737 or bigger and they're much the same.

20. Aren't you doing a psychology degree though GF? Now I do mean no offence but if so there is a fair chance you will end up a low earner. Personally I reckon there's nothing wrong with that like.
21. As usual I'm not sure how much GF is joking but he's doing himself no favours with this oudoing his Dad stuff. Sounds like he's failing miserably so far too.
22. Plane wouldn't take off tbh. Did you meet at a flightophobia support group or something? That's bizarre that you both have a fear of it. 143334 They may feed each others fear. I'm finally over my fear of flying thank God.
23. I had some locally produced wine in Corfu once in a restaurant - possibly the worst thing I have ever tasted. They tried to give me more the next day and took umbrage when I made my excuses....
24. The worst that can happen is you suffer a protracted, painful, terrifying death, but if that happened you'd have the benefit of becoming a toontastic legend!
25. unless you're a heathen like me and enjoy red wine cold too Funny how tastes change, i'd never touch red wine, thought it all tasted like vinegar....(though i know some really do) , i now love the South African and Californian wines. But the best red i've tried was from Limassol, Cyprus. 143298 Cypriot wine? Fuck off! 143302 yeah i thought that too (and still do) untill i tasted this particular wine, gorgeous! Its just a small region where its made apparantely, and not in enough quantity to export. 143308 Has the added advantage of running your car too if you run out of petrol. GF, I know what I heard, just because I can't cite it doesn't mean I'm losing my marbles!
