That powergenitalia one is a spoof, but it looks like the rest are real. http://www.snopes.com/business/names/powergen.asp

One thing that isn't going to unite the fans is snide hints that some consider themselves better fans than others. I have never told another fan they are not welcome at SJP for having different believes to me. At the end of the day we all want to suceed, we just have different ideas on how this might be best achieved.

Another high and mighty reply. No-one, not even me, have said we will be going to the match wanting us to lose. The problem is as you say we are dealing in hypotheticals here. So, hypthetically, if losing would gauranteed we'd get Hitzfeld or O'Neill, then personally I'd take that for the good of the club in the long term . Can you understand this? It has very little to do with my dislike of Souness, I simply want us to start playing again, something we haven't been doing now for over a year. However, as this is by no means guaranteed, or even likely, then there's not much point in wishing for the first part of it to happen, is there? As for the Gullit match, I was there, catching pneumonia, watching the game in disbelief. Playing Robinson instead of Shearer, and saying the game wsn't a derby, was the final straw to me, and I thought at the time the mackems had done us one hell of a favour. And I was proved right.
-
LM, doesn't that article contradict a lot of what you have been saying?
-
It was much better actually. Don't forget, he took over with 1 point from the first 8, and got us to 11th. If he had had those firt 8 games, I'm sure we would have been even further up. Then of course, there is the fact that we looked much better on the pitch.
-
So when Robson came and we beat Sheff Wed 8-0, you didn't think, hmm, maybe it was for the best we lost against Sunderland? Presuming of course that he would have stayed if we had won, because undoubtedly he would have. I hate to tell you this NJS, but you don't have the power to ban me for life for thinking differently to you. I appreciate I am not a proper fan like you for wanting what is best for the club long term, but there you go. Once again, I hope we win, but there's more to my life than being devestated if we lose this one, especially since I think it might be ultimately for the best.
-
So, I take it you would have been happy if Gullit had won, Robson had never came, and shearer and Lee were sold then? I want us to win, but I know this is only one game, and tbh it doesn't mean as much to me as a normal derby match - I can see a loss could ultimately be greatly beneficial to us. So what if a few mackems take the piss? After the match in the rain, didn't we have the last laugh? Yes, we did. Do I want to watch this shit week in, week out, for the sake of one match? No, I don't. As for relegation, have a look at Scottish mag's other thread. The only way we are going to be relegated is if this clueless clown and entourage stay at the club. I suspect it will be a boring negative draw, and Souness will just keep his job. He'll be gone by Christmas though. 46358 You're missing the point of whats being said though, all I want is for us to appear united for the next week, not sit slagging off the manager/ each other. As NJS points out, anyone who isnt fully behind the team shouldnt be there. Simple as. We can all have our views, some valid, some shite, but for the next week we should stick to being positive and look forward to beating them. If you're so sure that we're going to be beat then why go? does it not hurt you so much that our bitterest most vocal rivals could turn us over in front of your eyes and make sure you know it that you'd rather stay at home and wash the car? My bettings not..... 46364 Fair point peasepud, of course I will give the lads my backing 100% while I'm there. And I'll try not to post any negative stuff beforehand. But when NJS says that anyone who isn't devestated if we lose should be banned for life, then I'm going to have to disagree. I wasn't devestated after the Gullit match, and I won't be this time if the worst comes to the worst either. I'm sick and tired of watching this shite!

Wasn't Robson sacked?

40 points from 38 games = relegation form. FACT. Souness out!
-
Players seem to take longer than average to mend here for some reason, not sure why mind.
-
Wigan were organized - they had shape, passion, and belief, something you will never see from a Souness team. Yeah, we were unlucky with some decisions, but that's the way it goes. Some people only see the decisions that are bad for us - I can assure you we get our share of dodgy decisions too. A draw today would have been a fair result, but is that good enough? No, it's not. I'm sick of the excuses - Souness out, now!

When was the last timeyou really enjoyed a game
Renton replied to Kevin Carr's Gloves's topic in Newcastle Forum
The last time I can really remember being ecstatic after a game I wasn't even there - it was Feyenoord away in the CL. On reflection, since then, its been downhill all the way, but before that match, I often had that feeling. I don't expect to even enjoy games nowadays, it's a bonus if I come back not feeling conned/angry/depressed or just purely apathetic and resigned to the situation. -
Well at least you admit it.
-
To be fair, that would have given away the answer somewhat....
-
when it comes down to a re-allocation of money, or what you consider it better spent on, it's entirely relevant. We all do it with our own lives and how we run our lives. People do come here and sponge. And we would be better off spending it on better public services. 46049 I don't see why you have to bring immigration into it though. I haven't got the figures, but I am fairly sure 95% of dole scroungers are UK citizens, especially in this region. Don't forget that illegal immigrants, the ones that are most villified, can't claim by definition. And the ones that are legal exist on a pittance, much less than our indiginous charver trash that are now virtually unemployable, and breeding like rabbits.

Ah reet, the calendar. I was thinking it might have been celebrated on May Day as that has Socialist connotations iirc. 46008 A wild guess in other words. Glad you're not in my pub team....

I have answered all your questions. Are you a closet Thatcherite for the reasons previously stated..on the other hand, there is no need ! 45969 "Or put to building new ones....so there is your answer as to who pays for it ..." So how much are YOU willing to pay in increased taxs? EXACTLY??? Are you a christian ANSWER 45973 Can't you read, I told you I was a Christian, but with all due respect to those who go to church regularly, I don't. Happy now ? Some things you cannot put a price on, public safety from terrorist scum, muggers, anyone who is a danger to the public. I would pay more taxes for this, a proper health service, education, all the things which a civilised country should encompass. Not for the welfare of those who only come here to scrounge though..and there you have part of an answer, kicking them all out would help quite a bit too I would say. I can't answer the question of how much because I am not chancellor of the exchequer. You see Rob, I only have certain opinions, whether others agree or not is everyones prerogative, because these things are of interest to me and concern me, but saying "leave them alone they haven't broke any laws" is simply the attitude of a bury your head in the sand I'm all right Jack in my opinion. You have shown yourself to be a closet Thatcherite, along with double standards by your venom towards McKeag as "he broke no laws" other than shitting in your nest, now THAT bothers you, correct ? 45978 Tbf LM, everything is ultimately a matter of money. I don't think you're helping yourself with the veiled xenophobic comments here either: the old "they come here, and take our benefits" is frankly bollocks and anyway, has nothing to do with the present discussion.

Because she was shit? 45950

Yup.... It could be done, but it would involve a complete hack around with the database schema something I neither have the time, nor the inclination to do. 45865 Listen to his spiel man. Total geek speak. 45910 Aye well if I didn't 'geek speak' this place might not exist! Anyway Scrooge, ain't you got some pennies which need counting? 45924 He's a corporate accountant who deals in billions apparently...... 45925 It's true you plum! You were trying to suggest I was some sort of shyster personal tax accountant, so I simply put you right. 45932 I just thought you could do AF a favour... I find it a bit worrying that a man in charge of the finances of international companies posts so much on here mind.

Depends on if they really want him given his age, and whether they can afford to pay him enough so he can retain his 'dignity'.

It's a good film, but slightly overrated. I reckon Full Metal Jacket was better. Apocalypse Now was on again the other night. Now that is a film. 45880 Sorry, I meant Apocalypse now. 45884 JWTBQFH 45888 Schoolboy error. Brando was fucking awesome in it to be fair. Stole the show for me. Excellent anti-war message. Can't wait for the educational computer game shoot em up simulator. 45889 Vietcong 2 is out shortly for Xbox and PC. Lets you kill gooks or yanks with equal impunity. Can't say fairer than that. And its so real you can almost smell the napalm, and if you play online, you might even be lucky enough to 'kill' someone from SE Asia.

Touching the void last night on More Four. Documentary film about how a mountaineer survived against all odds to climb down a 20,000 foot mountain with no food, water, or cover with a shattered leg. Brilliant film, totally awe inspiring and uplifting. The pain that man must have gone through to survive goes beyond words. I'm sure 99.999% of us would have given up and died in his position, I know I would have.

Maybe it has already been done but we don't know about it. I mean, it's not going to be legal, is it? Scary thought like. 45860 I forgot about Peter Reid like....
