When I was at Uni there was a general perception that the students originally from the city (which were very much in the minority then) could be antisocial and tended to miss out socially. With attitudes like that, it's not surprising. Come on, this thread is getting ridiculous. Not all students are as bad as is made out here. Student days are supposed to be the best days of your life, where you spread your wings a little, and have a laugh before the reality of adult responsibility kicks in. I met my wife and many good friends whilst at Uni. But it seems most on here just want the qualification and nothing else, which is a bit sad really.

When I was kid I had a soft spot for Rangers. Then I reached double figures in age and grew up, then knowing how bloody ridiculous it is to support a team because of religion. Sadly, that doesnt appear to be the case with all too many. I think it started with my mate who went to a catholic school being almost kicked out because he wore a Rangers scarf to school once. I mean - have you ever heard anything so f****** unbelieveable and pathetic ? Good question. Normally in a situation like that where you're round a table and there's a few of you I would just put in a quarter (if there was 4 of you) regardless of if I'd had less. If one person wasn't drinking though and blatantly had less then I'd put more in to cover for that but I wouldn't necessarily expect others to do the same. In the olden days, there was only a fraction of the number there are now, and most did vaguely relevant subjects needed for the country. Since then, their numbers have increased exponentially, and many just go for the easy noddy degrees of no use to anyone, like Star Wars studies or whatever. They are going to end up graduating with 30K worth of debt and working in Morrisons. I actually feel sorry for some of them tbh.
