I'll let you off because that was in Wales, but if you are suggesting people should short cut throgh slip roads as part of their daily commute..... Bastard! Why don't we all do it, and create complete gridlock in the process?

I've even seen people driving up the slip roads when it's really busy, and down the other side to push in. Bastards, these people deserve death!

I'm not at all slow, but I'm obviously too considerate. Thing is, if more people were less selfish it would benefit all of us.

Now I've started driving to work because I can no longer face the metro, I'm becoming stressed about what complete and utter selfish BASTARDS other drivers are! Anyway, its not doing my blood pressure any good. So what pisses you most off about other people's driving? For me it's the following top 3. 1) People who change lanes to get ahead in the queue. You selfish wankers! Every morning you see them on the Coast road/Cradlewell bypass/Jesmond road, weaving in and out the traffic queue, to make up a few seconds. There's alway some mug that lets them in, otherwise they force themselves in. The result? Even more delays for the rest of us. 2) People who stop on box junctions. Do you know how to fucking drive, you crettin? Admittedly, it's easy to do, but come on, some people are serial offenders, and they end up causing more chaos for other drivers and pedestrians alike. 3) People tailgating me. Fuck of and die you aresholes! Do you realise if I need to do an emergency stop you will rear end me, you bastards? I swear to God I'm going to add some 6 foot spikes to my rear bumper. But then if you leave too much space, some wanker will nick in and steal your space, see point one. Ahh, that's better, needed to get that off my chest. Anybody got any other pet hates, or, more importantly, anyone do any of the above?

I guess it depends what you do I suppose. As it happens I found some innovative results for my project that my undergraduate dissertation was based on.

Try writing a PhD thesis. 100,000 words followed by an interview (viva) on it (with two or three experts in the field) that takes a whole day. There's a good chance you will fail too.

A week before I had to hand in my thesis, I managed to delete my entire reference/citation database (on a program called endonote) just by pressing the wrong button once. 5000 references and abstracts collected over 5 years, gone in a flash. No back up. ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbeilevable that I hadn't made a copy, to this day I can't believe it. What an idiot. Fortunately I only needed to reenter about 400 citations for my thesis, which took me about 48 hours virtually non stop - I still have nightmares thinking about it though.

Can't believe anybody still ues floppys tbh. A lot of modern PCs don't even have floppy drives, especially lap tops. Truely ancient technology.

So you list a bunch of managers who have won nothing, what does that prove? I wouldn't want any of them here anyway. But you are being very limited on your concept of success anyway. Many of those you've listed have only been a manager for a relative short period of time. Many have demonstrated much better league performances over the years than Souness on very limited budgets. Take Curbishley - he has establish Charlton as a premiership club and yet has spent less in the last ten years than Souness has in the past 2 months. It would be no surprise if they finish above us - like they did last year. So you have completely failed to show why Souness is a good manager because basically you can't, you are essentially basing his last 10 years in management as a success based on one league cup. Wow. And I haven't even mentioned all the bad stuff he has done - like being sacked from nearly every post he has got. I firmly believe Newcastle are a top 5 club, maybe even top 3, which is why I think we need a proven manager to get us there - just like the established top 5 clubs in this country presently have. Because as his CV shows, Souness is not the man. And yes, quite frankly you're boring me too.

Except no, he hasn't won something at every club he's been at. Two minor trophies in 13 years etc, etc. It's utterly ridiculous to compare him to Hughes either (not aimed at you Alex). Souness left Blackburn in a much worse state than Robson left us, and Hughes hasn't had 50 million to spend. We are presently on the same points, and despit the score, they could have easily won the last match! And while we are talking about success on managerial CVs, how does Souness compare to Robson - not even in the same class. How does he compare to Mourinho, Wenger, Ferguson or Benitez?
