  1. I'll go first. February 2023. Bookmark this.
  2. She's fucking awful like. I doubt she will last much past christmas.
  3. She speaks so slowllllly I can't actually follow her (listening on the radio). Is her strategy to send us to sleep? I'm not hearing much cheering for her?
  4. On the record now on public record as being against a windfall tax. She's fucked already.
  5. Soubry is spot on there. In all this, have we forgotten that fucking Jacob Rees Mogg has been appointed as minister for business, energy and industrial strategy? I mean you have to laugh or you'll cry. Caroline Lucas take:
  6. Maybe, its just what I heard on the radio. It was probably referring to the first Cameron cabinet (2010 intake), think Wallace might have become a minister later? Regardless, the attrition rate in the government, including the top job, is ridiculous. Good job we didn't get an even more unstable government under Miliband.
  7. It's repeating the same mistake that Johnson made. No way will Truss survive unchallenged for 2 years, the party is imploding.
  8. Apparently Truss is now the sole surviving minister from Cameron's days, which is quite incredible.
  9. Me too. Yeah, I can see the Daily Mail et al. bringing up the bullying line or accusing Starmer of Mysogny, be interesting if he changes his style because of this. I'm not sure he has to, tbh. Also nae fucker except us self haters listens to or reports this shit anyway.
  10. Howay man, although Starmer doesn't have much natural charisma, its a bit much calling him a personality vacuum, let alone making any comparison with Truss. I think Truss will be so bad it will be a funny listen personally.
  11. Whilst I think we should generally atttack the actions of a person, rather than their background or appearance (and there is plenty to attack Coffey on), it looks to me that at the age of 50 years she has pretty serious oedema in her lower legs, which is not a good prognostic sign at this age. Not a great advert for being the health secretary, but then the tories never believed in preventative medicine.
  12. Which are better qualified to lead our country?
  13. Enough of this esoteric nonsense. Talking of tits, thought Liz had an alright rack there watching that speech, possibly her only redeeming feature. It has been suggested she has used her assets to rise to the top. Meanwhile hurray for sterling! Good for exports etc.
  14. So what's the difference between laissez faire capitalism and neoliberalism? Not really wanting or expecting an answer, I just don't think these things can't be pigeon holed, although academics love doing this. Regardless, I think what we have under the conservatives today is simply something else, rank corruption worthy of a banana Republic. Truss isn't even a real Thatcherite, she is just another opportunist in the Johnson mode with no moral compass. I'd prefer Thatcher any day, we'd be back in the EU for starters.
  15. It's not really a definition though. For me neoliberalism is capitalism with a degree of state intervention. The European model. This contrasts with what Truss believes in, which is a US style laissez-faire capitalism. One leads to market failure and the crisis we're now witnessing, one intervenes to prevent this. Yes, Blair was and still is described as a neoliberal, ask NJS. If he is I don't have an issue with the ideology. In reality it's an overused meaningless description imo.
  16. It wasn't called neoliberalism then, at leat I never heard it. Seems to me its use is so broad yet vague it's not useful. Is the EU neoliberal? It's often accused of it. If so, I have no issue with the ideology. Is Sweden neoliberal? Etc. I mean, yet again we are saying, or implying, Blair's policies were the same as the current lot. I don't accept that.
  17. Come on God, throw in a thunderbolt.
  18. Well exactly. PPI greatly improved services, at a cost. Its negatives are exaggerated and its positives underplayed imo. Hardly comparable to what's happening today with the energy cartel.
  19. Mmmmm, sweet, sweet, titbag sweat.
  20. I see the new witch is giving a speech to the country today. Worth watching for the entertainment value.
  21. Monbiot doesn't have a monopoly on definitions. Neoliberalism was once synonymous with Blair's third way, a market economy with state influence. This is pure corruption. Meanwhile.
  22. This isn't neoliberalism, a term I dislike anyway because it means different things to different people. But it's not neoliberalism by any reasonable definition. It's pure corruption. There is market failure in the energy sector and criminals are profiting from it. Similar to Russia circa 1990. Its the Russian way, funny that.
  23. Just about to post that! "I always wanted to be a sugar daddy, but this?"
  24. Cunt to the end but as mentioned, I suspect along with others he will be back.
