  1. They've got a great track record in Yewrupe tbf.
  2. Good news if true, more shit coming his way.
  3. Putin's a germophobe and is terrified of covid, isn't he? Talking of which, on the news now Starmer was nearly lynched by anti-vaxxers.
  4. I might have to wait for the Alpinist. There's another one on Disney+ called Torn I'll give a whizz in the meantime, gets good IMDB marks.
  5. That's no way to talk about CT''s missus etc.... The little fuckers freak me out too. Last one I had I cornered and it climbed into my sound systems woofer. I couldn't get it out without dismantling it so I just took the speaker to the dump and left it. Gruesome.
  6. Had on, i thought that was Cameron?
  7. Imagine Denise Squelch and Doris in some hot girl on girl action though.? Rrrrrr. Oh Mama.
  8. I've never found him funny, I do like edgy humour, but to go anywhere near a holocaust joke is fucking stupid if nothing else. What did this joke achieve? It had no subtlety about it, it didn't enlighten in any way. Prejudice against travellers is one of the main remaining "isms" going. However, their way of life isn't really ever going to integrate with the rest of the population so its not going away. Shows like Gypsey Wedding etc just reinforce things but everybody's got their own true anecdotes about this group. Hardly justifies genocide or joking about it though .
  9. The 10,000,0000,000 Deutsche mark shop, Germany circa 1923.
  10. Been shit for years, Poundland is probably the most useful shop there! I did some casual work in a "pound" shop in the US way back in 90s before they were heard of here. Actually it was the 88 cent store, which was undercutting the more established 99 cent store. Both sold the same Chinese made shit. However, sales tax was prepaid in the 99 shop but added after the sale in our shop, making the purchase the same price and pissing off the customers at the same time. US entrepreneurship at it's best. Genius.
  11. I was at Uni, if I'm honest I was only an occasional match goer then and didn't really take notice until the next season when we pissed the league. Only met Keegan once, when he opened the children's cancer research wing at the RVI, maybe 94 or 95. He ran in (apparently had come straight from the gound), delivered an amazing off the cuff speech, shook some hands including mine (was doing a PhD at the RVI bu that time), and ran out again, back to SJP. I remember being blown over by his enthusiasm, optimism, charisma, and energy. Never known anything like it. And of course it personified by his team on the pitch. Its a crying shame he missed out on a trophy for us, he and we really deserved it. Almost all fans would have been happy for us (bar mackem twats and ManU). But at least we experienced it, most of us when we were still relatively young ourselves too. I do think that, even if we become as good as Man City and win everything, it won't top those few magic years. Not for me, anyway.
  12. They're going to fuck up the play offs at this rate.
  13. Hey wait, you're the one that waited 6 weeks and paid the surcharge, not us. So who's actually laughing now again? 😉
  14. Anyone see Dorries's latest car crash interviee this morning? Love it!
  15. It's made out of moths and tree bark apparently (really!).
  16. This doesn't feel right here considering the filfth posted above (!), but what the hell. Tired, somewhat numb. Got the inevitable phone call at 4.30 this morning to tell me my Dad had passed. Peacefully, in his sleep, and tbh it's really just a relief. I hope I never have to watch a loved one die in slow motion again. I haven't really even cried yet, but I know that's okay. Maybe I will at some point, maybe not, but what I do know is I loved him in life and that's what matters. So all in all, I feel okay. A word to the staff at the Freeman, they have been outstanding throughout, there's no way I can thank them enough ( I literally can't thank them because of the corruption and bribery protocols, huge irony given the government we have).
  17. One of my mates got a job as a prawn sniffer in the 80s. Niche.
  18. All part of the cut and thrust of politics, iirc
  19. Renton

    Cooking

They do nice buns with shitloads of cornflour on top as well. I don't think bread counts as savoury, its more just a staple. God what fascinating discussions we have.
  20. And Livingstone before him. Also he had adopted the Trump handbook by 2019. You have to be an idiot not to see through him, but then there are many idiots around.
  21. Might be a bit strong but there was an interview with a geneticist yesterday who brought up the fact that Cummings believed we could improve population intelligence by embryo selection. That's more than the thin end of the wedge for me. I've not looked into it further but a quick google gives shit loads of hits. Btw, I don't think he is a genius either, I think he got lucky.
  22. I think he's in to eugenics isn't he? Building the master race (not even joking).
  23. I'd bring up that Savile was a tory donor and a frequent guest of Thatcher at Chequers.
  24. Extras was 2005 so you're wrong. Also wrong about his stand up. I think you're right about After Life though. Could easily have been a single series or even a film, but the latter has already been done better in Truly, madly, deeply imo.
