It's not really my concern but I fail to see how you can improve quality of care without having objective targets. The NHS is certain to decline under this government. Of more interest to me from a personal point of view is what happens to NICE. Rumours are afoot big changes are coming, none of which will be good imo.

Those echo my thoughts. Still think Terry is a horrible cunt though.

I've currently got an Audi A3 sportsback 1.8 TFSI. Best car I have ever had, will do 0-62 in 7.4 seconds - all my other cars have been in double figures. Good fuel economy too. Previous to this I've had another A3, a couple of Polos, a Corolla, and a nifty Fiesta.

Those platforms are telling me you are 4'6'' and have an insecurity problem. Hideous imo.

I cannot get my head around the torie's educational policies. It's just utterly wrong.

Aye. I think it's more to do with how hydrated you are tbh. Try and manage it by always weighing yourself first thing in the morning before food and drink and after a dump. Or just weigh yourself less often. Or weigh yourself every day and calculate a rolling 15 day average. This discounts for daily (hourly!) fluctuations based on hydration and gives you an idea of your true weight and true weight gain/loss over time. There's websites and iphone apps that will do it all for you btw, so you don't need to sit with a calculator or owt. Now that's just gay. The idea of Gemmill micromanaging his weight is a bit like a millionaire trying to save pennies off his gas bill. Aye but who's lost a couple of stone, while your poor lass is rolling you up and down mountains every weekend. Nice one. Does this mean people only make a double take when they pass you, rather than the double-double take they used to?

I missed this fortunately, I went to see a shit David Bowie tribute band instead. Wise move it seems. Looking forward to having Wednesay afternoon off though, and at least is should be exciting. So, is there any way this could be a repeat of 1986 or is that just wishful thinking?

Swedes see sense and start on new Npower eelctricity
Renton replied to Rob W's topic in General Chat
Any link Rob? Anybody who is against nuclear power on principle is an idiot imo, one reason why I will never accept the dogma of the Greens. -
Why don't you become a politician - start as a councillor? After lots of years at the top of the slippery corporate pole, I couldnt really go back into anything that was false, back biting or full of office politics. Lifes too short for all that crap. Aye, but I'm not talking ministerial politics here. Councillors can really help people at a local level. You'd get out and about, get an allowance to make it worth your while, and you'd be pursuing something you believe in. You could still taxi as well.

After considering the options I agree the best thing to do is let bygones be bygones and move forward.
-
I don't think it will. I'm considering moving but have no idea when will be the best time.

Much better to do both really. Driving for a living is one of the worst things for your health btw - you need to hit the gym!

Not sure what those prove but why would anyone with £1.6 million choose to live in South Tyneside?
-
Quite a few people at my work live in Boldon area as it happens. These are well-paid professional types so I don't think it can all be that bad. Mind I can see no advantage living South of the Tyne.

The government gives money for booze to alcoholics? It's medication. Surprised they don't get a voucher for Diamond White. Am genuinely gob-smacked. Its not medication, its fucking retarded. It's not their fault, they're victims of society, man. Glad I'm not a British taxpayer, paying for an alcoholic's first bevvy of the day Sounds made up to me like. I've never heard of it, but it's not impossible as just about everything is technically prescribable. Also the advice to alcoholics awaiting elective detoxiifcation is to continue drinking, as abrupt withdrawal could easily kill them.

I went about 2 years ago, pure shit, the beach is nothing special and they've got a Hoppings on the seafront. You're right about the evenings, full of mongs. St.Ives everytime. Hang on a minute!!! I suppose by 'beach' you mean Torre Abbey on the seafront? Thats ok but nothing special...you should have done some research first and gone to Broadsands, Hollocombe or Goodrington. Bet you didnt visit Shaldon, Cockington or Babbacombe either? It pisses me off when people slag Torquay off and yet dont actually see half of it!!! Even our worst places are better than most of the scummy shit-hole towns and citys in England! What's the point in nice beaches anyway when the water is too cold to swim in? And full of Lion's mane jellyfish apparently. Plenty of nice beaches elsewhere as well - what about Drurudge bay, Bamburgh, and Alnmouth here? Or some spectacular coves you get in the Western Isles where you won't see anyone else for days on end? I'm not sold on the South West just yet.

The same. so, in your eyes they are innocent of anything ? No.

He would at least have had to have a gun and been threatening to get to that stage surely? If he'd emailed a mate and said "fuck this I'm going on a spree" should that have been grounds for execution? If so how many people do you think the police would have to shoot every day? Turning the question around do you think the police should have the right to shoot anyone just based on so called intelligence which has been proven on many occasions to be shit? Does this include all the Irish/Muslim "terrorists" who have been completely exonerated over the years - should we have shot them "just in case"? names ? Because, in actual fact, yes I think if we can get to them and they are proven terrorists, then get rid of them. That particularly includes Adams and McGuiness, and don't bother preaching about others stepping into their shoes, because it doesn't wash. Terrorism should not pay or be seen to pay in any shape or form whatsoever. Before you reply, remember that being unable to prove something doesn't mean they aren't as guilty as fuck. What's the point of replying with the names if you're just going to to say "he was guilty anyway"? The way you talk you want to completely suspend the rule of law. Ironically you mentioned Bird and an extension of his actions is exactly what you seem to want - suspect your neighbour is a terrorist but have no proof - why not just shoot him yourself and save the effort in using the law. no, what I'm saying is if you know they are a terrorist get close or on the inside and shoot the cunt Are you saying McGuiness and Adams are innocent because it's never been proven ? What bollocks. Aye, who needs proof, just execute the cunts. So you think they are innocent civilians then Do you even believe in the British system of Law and Order Leazes, or is it just a case of book-reading, fancy-Dan, do-gooder lawyers getting in the way of natural justice in your opinion? You seem to have a fundamental problem with the principals this country upholds to be honest. I don't see the problem with getting rid of those you know are terrorists. We don't need them and we are better off without them. Its people who defend them I have a problem with, in fact it would be a good idea to get rid of them too. So you do have a problem with the British concept of law and order then, such as the right to a fair trial, and the assumption of innocence until guilt is proven. Have you ever considered emigrating to somewhere that upholds a system closer to your own beliefs? No, I don't have a problem with the concept of law and order at all. You don't know anything about my beliefs. I don't particularly sit easy with terrorists and anti - British muslims and others especially those who are here illegally walking freely around the streets of Britain. Perhaps you ought to encourage those who are happy with this sort of thing, and those who are happy to give a home to such extremists and those who they are hiding behind to go and live somewhere else closer to their own beliefs ? After all, nobody asked them to come and tell us what we can and can't do, or say, in our own country. Why do you think we owe them a "fair trial" anyway ? We don't owe them anything. I've been arguing with you for years, how would I not know your beliefs, on a basic level at least, by now? Unless you have been lying all this time, quite possible I suppose. Your last sentence demonstrates you don't understand the concept of British justice - arguably the greatest in the World - at all. You can't be selective to who you give a fair trial to. It's highly ironic that your version of justice seems much more akin to the countries whose inhabitants you seem to hold in so much disdain. you're wrong. If they are anti-British, or illegally here, we owe them nothing, except a bullet if they are planning to murder British citizens. If you are happy with terrorists ie especially nowadays muslim terrorists walking around, then you should go and live in a muslim country where their beliefs and loyalities lie. How do you determine if these people are anti-British or planning to murder, in a sense that you don't actually know them or their motives. Wouldn't it be a case for a trial? In which then you can base it on evidence collected, seems rather cynical to kill them on the spot. I haven't read any of the above posts, so forgive me if I missed the point. I see your point, but you can't put all of them on trial. Why do we keep them in our jails ? Fact is, a lot of them are known, but haven't been to trial either. So what do you do ? People on here say we can't deport them. If you can't do that, or put them on trial, what do you do ? Wait for them to blow people up ? Erm, you monitor them until you have sufficient evidence to prosecute? I believe that's usually how it works.
