I don’t mind the foreign Liverpool fans (or not as much anyway) but the southern Man U and Liverpool ones can get to fuck
-
Well it must’ve been nearly 50 years ago so he would’ve been but fucking hell all the same my parents are now older than almost all of my grandparents were when they died but they don’t look anywhere near as old like

There was an Apollo I launch pad fire that killed all 3 astronauts. It was a training exercise. They couldn’t get the doors open and the oxygen-rich fire quickly killed those inside. It lead to a redesign of the command module and delayed the programme by about 12 months (those killed were due to fly their mission about a month after the accident). The likelihood is that if it hadn’t happened a lot of faults would’ve gone unnoticed. This may have lead to fatal accident on an actual mission, with possibility of the whole project being shelved. There was increasing opposition to it anyway due to the massive costs involved. I think at its peak there was over 4% of the entire federal budget being spent on NASA (about 10 times more than now).

There is and that is the one part of the Apollo programme that is still running. The moon is very gradually drifting away from the earth and it measures that iirc
-
As an aside, some of the photographs taken on the missions by the astronauts, including from the Moon’s surface are absolutely incredible imo.
-
I think they’re just models or prototypes as only part of the command module returned to Earth
-
Just the landing gear. The lunar modules that went to the moon will be floating around space still. As they took off from the moons surface then rejoined the command module. But you’re right in that any that went didn’t return to Earth I think
-
Aye. It’s interesting isn’t it? A lot of the infowars nutters were into all that and now act like it never happened.

I actually think you can say with a fair degree of certainty that they went. But a lot of conspiracy theories cherry pick evidence of course. JFK is an interesting one on terms of its development. I think if you go back a fair way most people would’ve thought there was definitely something amiss with the official version of events. I used to think so. Obviously people will still believe there was but a lot of recent innovations like computer modelling and so on point to Oswald being a lone shooter acting without backing. I suppose a part of it is it being more scary to think a lone nutter can take out the most powerful person in the world. The conspiracy theory acting as a kind of comfort blanket.

There recent-ish photos of the Moon landing sites from a Chinese mission iirc. Seems unlikely they’d be in on the cover up

So, what does everyone think of xG - good or bad?
Alex replied to Dr Gloom's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think it’s probably a useful analytical tool. From a professional / academic pov. I’ve got next to no interest in discussing it much though. -
There was a very terse message re: Gray leaving from Alex Chisholm without all of the usual ‘thank you and good luck’ stuff. Clearly quite a surprising and rapid turn of events.

KCG off to give him a piece of his mind

can you imagine what some of these dopey cunts will be like if we actually start winning things?

Apparently he’s done absolutely fuck all in the way of MP work since he left no. 10.

There are some embarrassing clowns on Twitter like

He’s fine as far as I know. He still posts on N-O. Or at least he did when we all showed up there when Ant pulled the plug
-
In an ideal scenario, no. But they might have to
-
It’s a pretty cold and callous way of looking at it, but realistic too imo: if we can’t afford to give public sector workers more, even with such a high tax burden - how can we afford to send military aid to Ukraine indefinitely? We’re already well into the £billions
-
Classy peado worshippers 👍🏻
-
They’ve signed about 50 players since they got promoted and Colback is still getting a game
-
Is your team playing exciting, attacking, flowing football though?
-
It’s a pretty naive way of looking at it. I.e. negotiating with Putin
