  1. If it happens I really hope Willock leaves. Nowt against him and he’s been a big part in our transformation under Howe. But he needs a new club and I can’t see him getting much playing time
  2. I’d rather he was crippled in the first training session at Liverpool
  3. That’s because the Bilbao Black Cats have based all their research on trying to find evidence that fits their desire (you can’t even really call it a theory) to demonstrate a link between Sunderland and Athletic Club. The few links they have unearthed are at best extremely tenuous. I’m not quite sure what their motive is beyond trying to make SAFC relevant outside the region. Their approach is exactly what historians shouldn’t do, i.e. only searching for the evidence that fits their version of the story and ignoring far stronger evidence to the contrary.
  4. We’re all buzzing but is no one going to spare a thought for Interim Merlin?
  5. 100% this. Would piss mesel laughing if we got Wissa then turned down their ‘record breaking bid’ if it wasn’t high enough
  6. Turning into quite the Thursday evening, this.
  7. Makes his, Wolves and Brentford’s position much weaker. Also, if the talk about Brentford signing another striker from the Bundesliga is true then you would think they’d be daft not to sanction Wissa’s move for circa £35m
  8. Maybe this is a bit too much
  9. By coincidence I was in Liverpool on the evening of the Heysel disaster and the day after. The day after the game there a was a bloke in the city centre selling cut price ‘Liverpool FC Champions of Europe 1985’ t-shirts from a makeshift market stall. It doesn’t really get any more Scouse than that
  10. Their fans loved a ‘Munich ‘58 Ha Ha Ha’ banner back in the day too. Especially on one of their famous murderous European away trips
  11. Get into them doesn’t even mean foul then, injure them or whatever. I mean everybody who’s ever played the game at any sort of competitive level in this country has at some point been told to get stuck in and not to shirk a 50/50 and not to let the opposition have it their own way, etc. And I quite like Ian Wright but they’re all podcast pally now. You can have a bit of ‘bantz’ but that’s about it when you’re discussing things involving the ‘elite’ and Liverpool in particular at the moment. As they’re the only ones out of the true media darlings (them, Man Utd and Arsenal) who look capable of usurping Man City’s recent dominance. The fact they were both proper streetwise, dirty, win at all costs cunts makes it all the more laughable
  12. Look, we didn’t show the respect due to the established elite and it’s really not on
  13. I remember people saying with JD Tomassan stuff along the lines of “he just needs a goal to get going, even if it goes in off his arse.” And didn’t he end his barren run in that manner?
  14. Went by the name of Kermit Seppuku
  15. I’ve seen one but only abroad (Italy). We get these day moths quite a bit in the garden though: https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife-explorer/invertebrates/moths/six-spot-burnet-moth
  16. Spot on that. The difference between the established elite selling players considered surplus to requirements (or at least not guaranteed much game time) and the likes of us, Forest and Villa selling players purely to satisfy PSR is huge.
  17. Bruno bottles it when the chips are down. He needs to follow Cattermole’s example and pull his shorts up and get on with it
