nolan did way better last season than i thought he would. i thought his legs wouldn't be up fo the premier league - he's a blatant passenger if he plays alongside someone like smith or guthrie in a 442. but fair play to him, he did a great job for us. not just with goals, but his leadership and his use of the ball. he's a bit like shearer was in his latter days though. he needs players prepared to do a lot of running around him.

i think he's been alright on whole simpson. not the first player i'd be offering a 5 year contract too but he's done better than i thought he would. ideally, he'd be your cover/utility defender with someone with a bit more class first choice ahead of him, and perch sold.

i doubt it's a massive coincidence that its two of our biggest earners in barton and enrique that could be on their way out. i suspect big mike's wanted their £60k+ a week each off the bill for a while now.

he was mint at the start of the season. it's giggs that seems to have this ability to keep on going, despite the aging engine. must be all that young totty that's keeping him going.

Dyer was brilliant for us, when fit . He was a big part of our best midfield of the last decade, since keegan's first stint actually, alongside speed with Robert and sola no out wide. Those 4 behind shearer and Bellamy were magic and dyer was a key player. Would have been an England regular if he'd stayed fit IMO.

He'd be an awesome signing. Very unlikely though.

Our incoming transfers will underwhelming. An important player will be sold on the last day of the transfer window with no time to find an adequate replacement. We will end up scraping the barrel after the window shut in a desperate search for kuqi style freebies no one else want in a bid to boost the depleted numbers. We won't spend over £10m net. Mike Ashley will still own our club Geordie shore will still be awful.
