  1. Watching the people get lairy Is not very pretty I tell thee Kaiser Chiefs responsible for this horror lyric. Blatantly couldn't think of anything to rhyme with lairy so just thought fuck it, let's throw thee instead of you in the mix. No one will notice I tell thee. Shite name for a band too. Crap tunes anarl
  2. You could argue most of his starts have come in weakened teams. I want him to fulfill his potential with us. Just not sure it's going to happen for him here. Not having the manager's confidence is a big issue going against him.
  3. He's still young, he's still been crap for most of the season. He's still got all the physical attributes like pace and close control to succeed. we still don't know if has the heart or the football brain to do so. Credit where it's due - that was a good finish, not easy when you've so much time to think about it.
  4. He hasn't really taken his chance in this run of games as I hoped he would. For all his talent I wonder if it's going to work out for him here. Pardew is obsessed with two big lads up front, we look shite in a 433 and he doesn't fancy him on the wing in a 442
  5. shola's a funny one isn't he. he plays second fiddle to shearer for most of his career. then he finally gets a chance, then another chance, then another run in the team. never takes it. what a waste of a career.
  6. typical toon to win with half a side after playing shite. the africans can't get back soon enough!
  7. good finish obertan. those one on ones are never easy. i fancied a win tonight.
  8. don't think ben arfa has a future at the club with pardew in charge. he just doesn't fancy him does he.
  9. fucking horrible effort from shola after a nice touch to make room for the shot. should have played best in. front two have been poor all night. at least we look a bit more threatening and solid since half time. funny how obertan can't buy a game all of a sudden. krul and colo both playing class
  10. we look much better second half since switching to 442.
  11. pardew's obsesses with the two big fellas up front like. agree that perch on in a 4-4-2 isn't a bad move though as that wasn't working, whatever the scoreline suggests
  12. we're getting spanked here like but yet we're winning. strange. got to change the formation or something. it's not sticking up top.
  13. Only in the most warped regions of his strange mind.
  14. is Ba not back for this like? gutted as i've just out him back in the fantasy foots
  15. i've been saying this for ages. just call it the leazesmag debate and let those sadistic enough to want to do battle with him get on with it elsewhere without spoiling this place.
  16. Then WHY did you demand UNLIMITED backing for your man Souness??? you can stop moaning too. you got what you wanted having finally come around to the CORRECT and FACTUAL argument i have been making for at least 5 years. yes it really is that long. and i'm still having the same argument whether you like it or not.
  17. i forgot all about that. i think i stopped posting on NO about that time
  18. and yet everything he posts is CORRECT and RIGHT
  19. there's more to san fran than that. it's pretty cool if you like a city break - cool bars and restaurants (they've got a japan town as well as a china town). the docks are cool and a boat trip to alcatraz is touristy but well worth it. but you needn't spend more than a day or two there if you're more into the road trip and seeing the landscape, which is some of the most beautiful and varied i've seen. if you're into wine tasting, from SF you've got napa to the north but the wine country around santa barbara is just as good and a lot closer if you're flying into LA. if i were doing it again i would fly into la, spend a day or teo there to catch up on sleep, hang out in santa monica and venice, go for a drive up into the hills for a view of the hollywood sign - avoid the tourist tat around hollywood blvd. a drive up mullholland to griffith observatory is cool. then from la, take 3 or 4 days to drive to san fran up the PCH. stop at santa barbara for a couple of days - one in the town then off to wine country wine tasting next stop big sur a bit further up the coast - amazing beaches, huge waves and hippy/surf scene and cool little family run hotels with great places to eat. don't book too much in advance though, just call in to places like hearst castle, carmel and monterey - see which places you like best then decide on how long you want to stay in each place. there are some amazing coastline walks around there - don't be surprised to see seals, whales and eagles on this section of the trip! next stop SF - a couple of days in the city before embalking on THE drive of the trip to yosemite. you could spend up to a week here but 2-3 days should be enough. definitely check out the mariposa grove - yosemite's biggest redwood tree park. glacier point for some awesome views. stay on the valley floor if you can - either camping or a cabin. go on one of the waterfall walks. the upper yosemite falls walk is a good one. it's about an 8 mile round trip but well worth it. if you're going in the summer months you'll be able to take the tioga pass from yosemite to death valley. if not, you could go the long way around, calling at lake izabella. you cold easily spend a couple of days in death valley - soem amazing hikes around there too, though beware in the summer. it's the hottest places i've ever been. i'd leave at least 3 days for vegas if you can. fly out of vegas too if you're able. it's the best way to end the trip and the drive back to LA is dull, long and there are no interesting places to stay on the way.
  20. See, it's shit like this. Find me a quote where semimental has been shown to be Pro-Ashley, you can't because he hasn't. Just like you can't show me where I've lied about you, you can't show where Manc Mag has been afraid to give his opinion, you can't show any of your claims because the majority are fantasies. You insist people answer your questions, so now I've got one for you. Why do you falsely attribute positions to other people? just ignore him man - it seems half the board have him blocked now and yet i'm still reading his guff through quotes! it's pointless trying to engage with someone that accuses you of saying things you didn't and making stuff up. he needs help. walking away is the best move - if enough of us do it perhaps he'll finally get bored and fuck off somewhere else.
  21. LM's contribution to this board is more than arguing about the board of directors and people lose sight of that. Respect your elders. not really though is it. if he didn't dominate every thread with the same old crap he wouldn't get as much grief. occasionally he'll post somethign worthwhile. shame that it gets lost in a sea of the usual nonsense.
  22. Awesome road trip holiday that. My brother lives out there so we've done a few variations. Definitely drive up the pacific coast highway (highway 1) from LA to San Fran. Amazing coast line drive with cool little places to stop and explore (Santa Barbra/wine country/big sur/Carmel/San Louis obispo etc). You might see migrating whales too if you're lucky. For unbelivable natural beauty definitely check the giant redwoods and waterfalls at Yosemite park. A drive over the tioga pass if it's open to Vegas via Death Valley is a must too. I've never seen stars shine as brightly anywhere else. Amazing place. Avoid San Diego - dull - and the hick towns outside Yosemite. Stay on the valley floor if you can. Sequoia park, lake Isabella and palm springs also worth visiting.
  23. Given our recent form, I'm going for an away win. We usually pull a result out of the bag when least expected
