    Fwiw I was mortal when I posted this last night but the sentiment is the same. Chris deserves a lot of our respect. The twats that run the club deserve nowt but contempt. I think this thread was inspired by a conversation with this dick at work that kept telling me last night that the clubs predicament is the fans fault

    In the cold light of day as the fury subsides and turns into apathy, few of us will give up on or stop supporting the club. Sadly we are stuck with fat mike for the forseeable. Just when he looks he might have got lucky with hughton he does his best to fuck it all up again. He clearly holds the fans and the stabilty of the club with little regard. I will continue to support the club. I will keep going to as many games as I can per season and I will continue to despise the owner. Hopefully he'll be gone sooner rather than later

    i'm so fucked off. i was genuinely optimistic with hughton in charge. i was beginning to believe again and looking forward to games for the first time in ages. even if we lost, and there were always going to be rough periods in this season, the lads always looked like they were playing for each other. It was the best team spirit we've had since sir bobby was manager. the players looked like they actually gave a fuck and they wanted to play for the guy in charge, who himself won us all over despite a few initial doubts over whether we was a big enough personality, with his honesty, good nature, professionalism - and above all results. to replace hughton with a loser like pardew and risk destroying the unity he has managed to put in place is the worst move by any football club since ashley thought it wise to appoint wise, sack keegan and replace him with kinnear.
