http://www.themag.co.uk/the-mag-articles/newcastle-put-fourth-new-kit-season-sale/ Putting out a 4th new strip (the one against Real Sociedad) even though the team are unlikely to wear it in public again.

I wonder if Shearer gets barred from SJP for saying this it ? wouldnt surprise me.

Again the cost to Ashley of these free tickets was a mere drop in the ocean. I think he got the lip on about season ticket holders chucking it in and decided everyone would pay just his way of being spiteful and vindictive.
-
Yeah he has to pay like everyone else now. Ashley stopped ALL free tickets in April this year as part of a cost cutting exercise even Carvers family have to buy tickets now.
-
Im exactly the same as the fans at the minute - Im one of them. I pay for my ticket and Im the same. I am entitled to my opinion. It hasnt been pleasant watching to be honest. Its been poor. With Newcastle in the bottom three going into the dark evenings Shearer feels that the problems at United havent just unfolded overnight. He said: It has been poor since January this year, The quicker we can get out of it the better. But he feels a tough scrap against relegation could lie ahead. He said: I dont hold too much hope for us this season. I think it could be a long hard season for us. Pardew will prepare his players for another crunch fixture on Saturday against Leicester amidst a backdrop of pressure with sections of the Toon Army still on his back. Now Shearer believes there can be no excuses going into the battle with former Newcastle coach Nigel Pearsons newly promoted Foxes. Shearer said: Nobody can make any excuses. The simple fact is we havent been good enough. You can make whatever excuses you want. Injuries, too many games or confidence. Put all of that to one side, the simple fact of the matter is we just have not been good enough. We havent been unlucky. We havent been ravaged by injuries. We havent been done by dodgy decisions. We just havent been good enough. Its simple. Thats the harsh reality of it. Things have to improve and they have to improve pretty quickly or we could find ourselves in a hole.

Now Tim Krul has injured his elbow in training, the Newcastle keeper instantly sent home to Tyneside and he misses the Iceland match on Monday, Kenneth Vermeer replacing him.

Thats just it though mate I dont think he's that bothered he probably thinks he'll sell us cheap and quick if we're in the Championship it'll be his final kick in the nuts to us. I think he'd take the financial loss (its nothing to him) if it meant he got his revenge by leaving us in the championship.
-
Zero, zilch, nothing as I think Ashley's done with us. Any further investment will be either at Rangers or Oldham I just can't see him bothering here.

Uefa would allow Ashley, in theory, to own Newcastle as he does and become more involved at Rangers. The rules state he could own up to 49.9% of a club and own another that potentially could play one another in a European competition, as long as Ashley was not seen as the “owner” of Rangers ie enjoying the majority of votingrights and the power to remove directors. This from the Chronicle today.

It has now been revealed that Mike Ashley’s refusal to help Rangers in dealing with their financial crisis, comes as a result of the club refusing to allow the Newcastle owner to take control of the club’s image rights via the Rangers badge and various trademarks. Ashley has put forward a resolution to get rid of the two Rangers directors who refused to agree to the image rights deal in return for an emergency loan to the club. The image rights are worth millions, probably tens of millions, and the two directors weren’t prepared to leave Rangers financially suffocated long-term thanks to giving up this financial stream…a bit like Newcastle United giving tens of millions of pounds of free advertising to the rest of Mike Ashley’s business empire. Ashley followed up this move by then refusing to buy more shares in a rights issue to current shareholders, Rangers looking to generate £4m to help deal with the financial problems. The rights issue fell around £900,000 short of the target. However, Mike Ashley then immediately increased his shareholding to 8.92% by instead buying shares privately, paying £853,000 to investment firm Hargreave Hale. No doubt what signal he is sending out there with the amount almost exactly what the rights issue had fallen short by, with not a penny of Ashley’s private deal going to help Rangers’ current plight. There is now apparent competition for Mike Ashley with a trio of wealthy Rangers fans; Paul Murray, Dave King and George Letham, lining up against the Newcastle owner for control of Rangers. Rangers fans are massively against Ashley as they can see what lies ahead for their club if he wins control, whereas deluded fools such as Barry Ferguson simply see a massively rich man as a saviour of their club.

We all know who'll win that one he'll probably never even go to a game .

Probably isn't arsed about the football & couldn't give a toss about the fans sounds familiar doesn't it ? Don't forget his indirect interest in Oldham as well via sports direct they own the club shop, renamed the ground, supply the shirts. He may not have bought the club on paper but it looks like he holds all the cards there.
-
Apparently this is what he does, "parks his tanks on the lawn" is a term I've seen used regarding Ashley.
-
100% agree Shearer imo was the last old fashioned centre forward a fantastic attitude, commitment & goals. I think a price tag of £100 million would be well justified.
-
Ha ha ha nice one.
-
Goals, fret, frast deffinetly £100 miw
-
Fairy nuff but dont go whingeing when its not working out for you.
-
Dont forget he didnt have to leave Newcastle he still had years left on his contract. Also the knock on effect was Debuchey leaving as well thanks for what you did here but you've made your bed etc.

Capital One Cup: Manchester City (a) In stark contrast to the £45+ charged for Premier League home games, Manchester City have pegged ticket prices for our Capital One Cup tie later this month. Adult seats are £15, with over-65s and 16-21 year-olds paying £10. U16s are just £1 in the lower tier (level one) and £5 in the upper tier (level two). The club confirm that the lower tier will be sold first, with the upper tier then sold if there is sufficient demand. Season ticket holders and members can apply now, with zero loyalty point requirement. Members sale commences on Wednesday October 15th, for the tie at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, 29th October at 7.45pm. This from .com hope it helps.
