  1. Tried to do as much as we could. Family meals, took grandkids to Hemsby to the arcades. Did a bit of shopping etc. You only go on 3 roads for the journey but its a canny travel it took 5hours 20 minutes with one stop to get home yesterday. I'm feeling a bit tired today but it was worth it. I'm so proud of Mrs T she drove excellent
  2. Just got back from a weekend in Norwich seeing some of our family down there there. Had a nice meal at the Acle Bridge Inn its right beside the Norfolk Broads on Sunday afternoon. It felt good getting back to some kind of normality
  3. Expecting something like this form Boris at his next Covid news conference. If your in the area don't go out. But if your out the area don't go in. But if you work in the area you can go in or out. So just to recap. If you work in the area you can go "in out in out spread it all about"
  4. One of my sons & his girlfriend live together in Cramlington but both work in North Tyneside how will this affect them traveling to work ? Son works at Royal Mail, his girlfriend is a Dr's receptionist.
  5. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9594615/Covid-UK-110-direct-flights-India-landed-UK-red-list.html "110 direct flights from India have landed in UK since it was put on 'red list': Up to 8,000 arrive from Covid-ravaged sub-continent in nearly a month amid fears airports have become 'super spreaders' for virus" Boris & his "rugger chums" needed holding to account for allowing this to happen the bastards
  6. Hancock to hold news conference at 5pm today. Probably due to the confusion over travelling out of the country. Sky are reporting... "Thousands of people have reportedly travelled to destinations on the amber list since the ban on foreign holidays was lifted on Monday. More than 150 flights are reported to have left on Monday to places such as France, Greece, Spain and the US" This has all the hallmarks for another wave to come into the country. Shirley the best thing to do would be to have a green light & red light system. While trying to get a hold on the Indian virus that seems to be spreading rapidly around our country at the minute.
  7. This was from yesterday's Mirror. I thought they'd stopped all the flights from "red light" countries ? https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/heathrow-chaos-passengers-stand-next-24129742
  8. I went to the Toby Carvery (i know) last night at Shiremoor with Mrs T & 2 of the kids. It was ok & got us out for a bit. One way system in the main door, out the fire exit. We booked for 6 o clock it was fairly quiet. It started to get busier as we were leaving.
  9. The Mail reporting its not looking good for June 21st. Probably the return of the tier system. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html
  10. The 12 Founding Clubs who announced the venture on Sunday evening purchased equity stakes of around £8million each in the Super League, which its creators ultimately hoped to turn into global competition that would dominate club football. It emerged yesterday that the English clubs could also face financial penalties for pulling out as the ESL contract signed last week contained clauses committing them for at least three years.
  11. This from someone at N.O. apparently part C has been broken
  12. Spot on. The owners wouldn't have given a toss about the fans had this come off. Football & fans would have been a minor inconvenience to satisfy their greed. These other 14 Premiership teams have to think what would the Big 6 have wanted done to them if it had been the other way round.
  13. This from Sky Sports News 14 PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS PLOT PUNISHMENTS FOR BREAKAWAY SIX There is a difference of opinion among the group of 14 Premier League clubs about whether there should be sanctions against the 'big six', now that they have abandoned their plans for a European Super League, Sky Sports News has been told. One senior club official has told Sky Sports News that they want to pursue the possibility of punishments, because they feel there is a clear breach of Premier League rules, and a precedent must be set to act as a deterrent to possible future breakaways. Rule L9 says any member club needs prior written approval by the Premier League Board to enter a new competition, and this official says that rule has “patently been broken” by the rebels signing an agreement to join the Super League. An executive at another Premier League club has told Sky Sports News that any sanction imposed on the 'big six', such as points deductions or fines would hurt the wrong people - the players, managers and, crucially, the fans of those clubs. Instead, they advocate the Premier League rules being tightened for the future, but they say the 'big six' should be welcomed back into the Premier League fold quickly, because “there has to be a measure of realism” here, with those six so crucial to the “overall commercial and sporting success” of the league. There is likely to be another meeting of the 14 Premier League clubs - possibly even later today - to discuss what should happen next.
  14. This will probably be the PL's response to the "Snakey 6"
  15. By signing up to the ESL the "Sneaky 6" signalled their intent.
  16. So the "Snakey 6" have all withdrawn from the ESL, they need punishing. I'd like to see them unable to qualify for European football next season.
  17. Premiership "Little 14" meeting has started apparently
  18. Strong differences of opinion emerging in private between breakaway clubs. Some of execs involved believe they're being hung out to dry & are beginning to get cold feet. They're nervous & disappointed about way it's been handled. One says: “This is not what we signed up for”
  19. Statement from the Everton Board https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2111866
  20. It is, but by signing that they've said "fuck you" to the other 14 Premiership Clubs.
  21. The 14 non Super League Premiership clubs have a meeting with Masters today. I wouldn't be surprised if they refused to play the other 6 teams. What ever happens this has now effectively split the Premiership into an us & them situation. I know it was like that anyway, but this has made things a lot worse.
  22. Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid face the prospect of being kicked out of the Champions League semi-finals over their European Super League plans, says UEFA executive committee member Jesper Moller
  23. UEFA are staunchly opposed to the idea and have responded by saying every club and player involved in the Super League face being banned from UEFA and FIFA competitions. They said: "Every club and player participating in the Super League could be banned from all UEFA and FIFA competitions, European or International level."
