  1. It's fairly obvious Boris needs to get his arse in gear & call a full strict Lockdown. But he's so bloody stubborn he wont do it. I cant stand the fucker I'm probably one of the most placid blokes you'd ever meet but he makes me so angry
  2. The R rate must have been pretty low when they unlocked the full lockdown. Daily infections were between 1 & 2,000 then
  3. Apparently a lot of shops have introduced a " click & collect" scheme to avoid having to close this time. I was really shocked by the new daily infection figures yesterday. It jumped up by a 3rd from 22,000+ to 33,000+
  4. This was from the Daily Express 4 days ago "On October 30, the R number range for the UK was also 1.1 to 1.3, and on October 23 the R number range was 1.2 to 1.4. According to the Government website, when the page was last updated on Friday, November 6, the R number for the UK was 1.1 to 1.3." I'm with you Renton mate there should have been the same restrictions in place as the 1st lockdown. But Boris didnt want it & so in his stubbornness came up with what we have now. A "powder puff lockdown" if were going to lockdown do it properly ffs.
  5. Am I missing something here, we keep getting told the R rate is diminishing. Yet the amount of daily infections are rising everyday. Can someone explain this please because it's got me puzzled
  6. I'm really annoyed with my inconsiderate neighbour. He knocked at my door at 3 AM when I was practising the drums
  7. https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/scientists-urged-government-to-close-secondary-schools-744795 Scientists urged government to close secondary schools – but were blocked by ministers Why bother having these scientific advisors if they're going to ignore what they're telling them.
  8. Genuine question lads what happens if the MP's dont accept this at the vote on Wednesday ?
  9. True but that's only because Boris didnt want to lose face by calling it a National Lockdown. I still think its madness to keep schools open though knowing this information. I think the teaching union have a very strong case for wanting schools closed. I can see school attendance dropping fairly sharpish if they dont close.
  10. https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-teaching-union-calls-for-schools-to-be-closed-as-part-of-england-lockdown-12120428 Referring to the latest ONS figures, Mr Courtney said 1% of primary school pupils and 2% of secondary students have COVID-19. His union's analysis of the data suggests infection levels in primary schools are nine times higher than they were when term started in September - and 50 times higher in secondary schools. It seems pointless locking the country down if your going to leave schools open knowing this.
  11. Boris will be on BBC 1 shortly he's just watching the rugger on ITV
  12. National Education Union calls for schools to close to all but vulnerable children and those of key workers during lockdown
  13. Breaking new from Sky PM press conference Boris Johnson to hold press conference at 4pm to discuss new curbs to tackle coronavirus.
  14. If you still think Boris is right to keep the schools open this is from the BBC website 3 days ago... The Department for Education said 55% of secondaries and 20% of primaries in England reported having one or more pupils self-isolating due to potential contact with a case of coronavirus in the school. This is up from 46% and 16% respectively on the previous week. Overall attendance at primary school fell from 92% in the week ending 15 October to 90% in the week ending 22 October. But the drop on the previous week's attendance was most significant in secondary schools, falling from 87% to 83%.
  15. Sage recommended a National lockdown on 21st September when new daily infections were just over 4,300. Because Boris has been that pig headed & to stubborn to take his own scientific advisors advice. By the time we lockdown on Wednesday it will be 44 days (over 7 weeks) since the advice. New infections will by then be 25,000+. No doubt loads of money will have been wasted devising new slogans for Boris & implementing the tier system. Which again he was advised wouldnt be effective enough. I find it scary that this clown has been allowed to overrule the scientific advice the way he has. If they keep schools open I think we'll see a lot of parents keep their kids at home.
  16. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html National Lockdown to be announced next week
  17. Well my sister, brother in law & nephew all got their test results back today & they've all come back positive. Fuck off Coronavirus.
  18. ONS saying over 560,000 had coronavirus in England last week. The new R rate will be updated today.
  19. Sorry lads I'm just feeling a bit pissed off the lady next door passed away with the virus last Wednesday. Then I found out last night my niece has tested positive for the bastard. Meaning my nephew & their mam & dad my sister & brother in law have to be tested. The nephew is showing no symptoms but sister & brother in law have developed coughs over the last couple of days its shit. I just wish they'd lock the country down.
  20. A 2nd National Lockdown is looking more & more likely now. The virus is doubling every 9 days. The only thing we have to combat it at this moment in time is a full National Lockdown. That must mean closing the schools as well. They're starting to Lockdown countries again across Europe. Boris has to act now not dither about like last time.
  21. 37% possession today Wolves had 16 shots Newcastle 5
