Good Olde Fashioned "Frashing" for Bruce's lads today
-
It is shit I missed the kids & grandkids terribly. But I'm willing to give it another go for all our sakes. It's the only way of fighting back at the minute.
-
Agreed "we cant Lockdown forever" But we could Lockdown for a month to try & get a bit of a head start on it. I can just picture Whitty & Valance shaking their heads as that stupid twat obviously ignored their advice. Which undoubtedly would have been for a full lockdown.

There's a good reason to think it is. I posted an article from The Guardian the other day this was from it. The number of schools in England badly affected by Covid-19 cases among students and staff has quadrupled in the space of a week, and the number of pupils absent rose by 50%, according to estimates released by the Department for Education. It went on to say close on 1,000 schools in England were affected. With 600,000 pupils absent because of covid related issues. Heres the article https://www.theguardian.com/education/2020/sep/22/covid-19-number-of-schools-in-england-not-fully-open-quadruples

At the minute we have nothing to combat this virus with . As we know it's a human to human transmitted virus. So surely the way to combat it, is limit the amount of human to human contact I.e. full lockdown. Yes there will be economic repercussions but it's not like it's just our country this is affecting. I honestly think they unlocked too soon even another 2 weeks would have helped. Like everyone else I dont have any answers. But given the information we got from Whitty & Valance Boris should have called a full National Lockdown. He came out & said he knew the 2nd wave is coming. So why wait for it to come (like last time) its sheer stupidity

If things get out of hand we may see the army make an appearance

Protesters who were in Trafalgar Square are now on their way to Buckingham Palace

Boris's response on Wednesday doesnt fit the information Whitty & Valance projected on Monday
-
Well the Full National Lockdown seemed to work last time. There were just over 650 new infections daily. The infection numbers are over 10 times that amount now & yet theres no Full Lockdown. I just dont understand it.

Whitty and Valance involved in measures Downing Street insisted that England’s chief medical officer Chris Whitty and chief scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance had been involved throughout the process of drawing up the package of measures. A Times report suggested Prof Whitty warned the package did not go far enough and England is likely to have to follow Scotland in imposing a ban on visiting between households. The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said he has seen “no remarks on that”.

The bottom line now since kids have gone back to school they're are starting to become infected. I cant remember this really affecting kids when the schools were closed (except for key workers kids ). Why cant they bring the autumn half term forward & extend it for a few weeks (4) enabling schools to get a head start before the winter.

136 pupils the entire year 13 having to self isolate at Walbottle Academy

Boris obviously never had a plan for the 2nd wave. Now his scientific advisors have shown what's coming it feels like he's totally ignored them. Wales, Scotland & Ireland have all announced much more stringent measures than England. I'm probably one of the most placid blokes you'd ever meet. Yet everytime I see Boris & hear him mumbling & bumbling on i feel like punching him in the face. He's gambling with peoples lives here the stupid pillock.

Miss T's gone in to work today normally nothing phases her. But after Whitty & Valance's projections on Monday & Boris's pathetic response yesterday "a stitch in time saves nine" ffs. I could see her getting anxious as we watched Boris mumble & bumble through last night. She worked all through the Lockdown at school. There was supposed to be a rota but a few teachers didnt turn in last time & she did their days for them. Like I say it didnt bother her last time but I know shes worried this time.

Prof John Edmunds, a member of the UK's Sage scientific advisory group but speaking to BBC Radio 4 in a personal capacity, said "we haven’t learned from our mistake" in delaying action in March and "we’re unfortunately about to repeat it". The scientist from the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene told the Today programme: "I don’t think the measures have gone anywhere near far enough." "I suspect we will see very stringent measures coming in place throughout the UK at some point, but it will be too late again," he said. He said that we will have let the epidemic "double and double and double again" before stricter measures are introduced, which will mean "the worst of both worlds" because it will mean "putting the brakes on the epidemic for a very long time, very hard".

Considering Boris is determined to keep the schools open come hell or high water https://www.theguardian.com/education/2020/sep/22/covid-19-number-of-schools-in-england-not-fully-open-quadruples The number of schools in England badly affected by Covid-19 cases among students and staff has quadrupled in the space of a week, and the number of pupils absent rose by 50%, according to estimates released by the Department for Education.
